System ChangesFusesJuggernaut Juggernaut is a powerful Fuse at intermediate and beginner levels of play, but falls off at advanced levels. We’re adding an advanced tool to Juggernaut, while reducing its overall power early in a player’s journey. Juggernaut now grants the ability to solo dash cancel any attack by spending Break meter. (This is the same as Fury dash canceling. With this change, only Juggernaut users can do this outside of Fury.) This gives Juggernaut players more interesting options for combos and pressure, and lets them fight against pushblock. Meter gain and pushblock while using Juggernaut have also been improved. To compensate for these buffs, Break meter gain while using this Fuse has been reduced. Juggernaut changes: - Overall Super Meter gain has been increased by 25% when using Juggernaut. - Pushblock no longer uses Break meter and now has a 4-second cooldown when using Juggernaut. - Break gain when hitting an opponent has been reduced by 50% when using Juggernaut. - Attacks can now be dash canceled by spending 30% Break meter when using Juggernaut. - This is the same as Fury dash canceling. With Juggernaut, you can now do this outside of Fury. - If a dash cancel was used, the subsequent combo will not grant Break meter. - Break meter gain on successful Eject has been reduced by 10%. It was 20% Break meter and is now 10% Break meter. Sidekick Sidekick is getting Assist improvements, because the overall power of Assists is lower without the ability to Handshake Tag. Sidekick changes: - Overall Super Meter gain has been increased by 15% when using Sidekick. - The Point champion can now move freely during Sidekick Super. - When an Assist is used as a combo starter, it no longer causes additional damage scaling when using Sidekick. - Pushblock now pushes both opposing champions when using Sidekick. Freestyle The power of two Handshake Tags has consistently dominated expert-level play. We’re nerfing Freestyle in a way that maintains its flexibility, while establishing significant trade-offs for accessing this Fuse’s power. Freestyle changes: - Overall Break meter gain has been reduced by 35% when using Freestyle. - Generating less Break meter adds additional risk to using this Fuse. - Hitting an Assist in Freestyle now gives the Assist a 6-second cooldown. - Freestyle Tag can no longer be used immediately after Break. - Freestyle Tag can no l _[Truncated at 4000 characters — full notes: https://2xko.riotgames.com/en-us/news/game-updates/2xko-patch-notes-12-5-july-23-2026]_ ### 1.2.3b — 2XKO Patch Notes: 1.2.3b (July 8, 2026) - Date: 2026-07-08 - Version: 1.2.3b - Original notes: https://2xko.riotgames.com/en-us/news/game-updates/2xko-patch-notes-1-2-3b-july-8-2026 - Permalink: https://whatsnew.fyi/product/2xko/releases/1.2.3b - Labels: Platforms: Windows, PlayStation, Xbox - **fixed** — Improve console stability - **changed** — Online matchmaking will be temporarily unavailable during patch 1.2.3b The team has identified several issues affecting the console versions of the game that were introduced in patch 1.2.3. New Champion: Thresh, The Chain Warden Wicked and cunning, Thresh is a malevolent specter that delights in tormenting opponents, imprisoning their souls in his lantern for all eternity. He uses his chain to attack from tricky and unexpected angles, while his lantern lets him teleport and summon jailed souls for aid. His evil schemes begin on June 9 in 2XKO. You can also unlock them for free through their shared Champion Recruitment Event, which lasts for four weeks. Since two characters are being unlocked at once, this will take approximately 50% longer than a normal Recruitment Event. If you want to get a sense of how a new champion plays before you unlock them, all champions are available to everyone in Training and Offline mode, even if they haven’t been purchased. PVE Mode: The Climb The Climb is our new PVE mode that you can tackle with a friend. Fight NPCs in random encounters, and win to unlock augments that change how you play. New ContentNew Fuse: Teamfight Teamfight is a new Fuse that lets BOTH champions on a team fight simultaneously for seven seconds. Activate Teamfight by pressing :2xko_T: + any normal attack (:2xko_L: / :2xko_M: / :2xko_H:). Once you’re both onscreen, it’s time to whale on your opponent with everything at once. You probably have questions. Here are the rules for Teamfight. - Teamfight can only be activated on the ground. - You can cancel attacks immediately into Teamfight activation. - While Teamfighting, your champions can use Supers, but not Ultimates. - The team using Teamfight won’t generate meter while it’s active. - Teamfight lasts for seven seconds, but when Teamfight champions are hit, the timer is reduced based on damage dealt. - Teamfight ends instantly if a champion is hit by an Ultimate. Also, while Teamfight is active, the Assist champion has special restrictions: - All their attacks count as mid. - All their attacks will come from the same direction as the Point champion’s attacks, similar to how Assists work. - They cannot throw. Teamfight can be unlocked by completing the associated tutorial in the Learning Hub. Find Duo You can now find a new duo partner in the 2XKO client. When you’re getting ready to play, select the plus sign (+) and navigate down to the “Find a Duo” option. This will pair you up with another player looking for a duo. Once you find a partner, hop into the lobby together and start building your synergy. Duo Voice Chat In-game Duo Voice Chat is here, just in time to accompany the Find a Duo system. This is turned off by default. To enable it, open Settings > Text & Voice Chat, then turn on “Duo Voice Chat.” After that, you’ll automatically enter an in-game voice chat whenever you partner up with someone who also has the setting enabled. Remember, there’s no push-to-talk—your mic will be hot as soon as you enter Duo Voice Chat. Replay Takeover You can now take control of either team while watching a Replay. Load up a Replay, pause it, then press the Takeover button. Press Takeover again to reset. Practice strategies from past matches, and one day you’ll block that wack mix. Season 1 Ranked Rewards Patch 1.2.1 comes with a Ranked reset, which means that Season 1 Ranked Rewards will be sent within the first week of the patch. You’ll get an exclusive sticker and player title based on your peak rank in Season 1. In this patch, we’re decreasing the power level of the top half of the meta by adjusting overloaded portions of their kits. The most substantial hits were to Ekko and Yasuo, with Ahri and Warwick receiving some smaller adjustments. Our goal isn’t just to apply nerfs. We’re taking a measured approach to changes so that we can see where champions are as their weaknesses become more defined, and buff their strengths accordingly. Also, the Megabundles from Early Access are returning to the store, and you’ll see a new in-game event that grants more rewards. As always, the game will be down starting from 9am PT when the patch drops on March 10. You can always check the status of the patch [here](https://status.riotgames.com/2xko) or in the 2XKO client. All rewards will be granted retroactively if you’ve already completed the requirements. Duo Emotes Ever wished you could show off your team synergy in the lobby? Now you can, with Duo Emotes. There’s a new weekly mission that will challenge you to play a match in a duo to earn the new emote. Use it around the same time in the same part of the lobby, and your avatars will sync up. Weekly missions stay active until the end of the season. Even if you don’t finish this mission within one week, you’ll still have time to complete it. Attract Mode A short cinematic will now display when launching the game or while idling on the “Play” screen, featuring the song “Let’s Go” by Polyphia. System Changes Our main system changes this patch will smooth off the edges on bugs that affected our core system mechanics. We’ll continue to clean up [Happy Birthday](https://glossary.infil.net/?t=Happy%20Birthday) consistency and see how those changes land with each patch. Core Gameplay - Assist and Point hitboxes will now be closer together during [Happy Birthdays](https://glossary.infil.net/?t=Happy%20Birthday). - To get in the weeds: Assists are now pulled in towards the Point champion on every hit, so their hitboxes get closer and closer together. Frame Data Cleanup We’ve cleaned up the startup, active, and recovery states across the entire roster. This list is long and nitty-gritty, and you can feel free to skip over it unless you’re a data nerd. The TLDR is that getting an Interrupt or a Punish should now be more consistent across all champions. Note: [+] and [ - ] indicate buffs and nerfs respectively. We’re not going to be hitting any major balance changes this patch, but we’re anticipating that some of the critical bug fixes listed here will affect the meta. Also, in case you missed it, we recently started the [Weekend Warmup](https://2xko.riotgames.com/en-us/news/announcements/2xko-in-2026) as a way to keep in touch with the community weekly. Since the turnaround on these updates is pretty quick, they’ll probably be English-only for the most part. We talk about a lot of our broader goals for the game in our latest one, and have a translation up for you to check out. 2XKO online matchmaking will be unavailable during the maintenance window. You can track the latest information on maintenance time directly in the game client. As always, you can enjoy the game in Offline mode during maintenance. Before we get into it, let’s recap some of the micropatch changes we’ve made since our last patch notes. 1.1.1 Hotfix Jan 22 - Fixed a bug that would cause backward jump and forward jump inputs to incorrectly result in a neutral jump. 1.1.1 Hotfix Jan 26 - Fixed an issue that sometimes caused Illaoi’s Tentacles to stop functioning. - Reset Ranked placements and adjusted backend systems to improve matchmaking. 1.1.2 Bug FixesCore Gameplay - Fixed a bug where players could bypass the Limit Strike system by using certain moves that hit OTG. - Fixed a bug where Tag Launchers could make the enemy champion temporarily invisible. - Fixed a bug where certain Supers broke the game camera. - Fixed a bug where exiting Training mode after leaving the game idle would cause the game to freeze. General - Fixed an issue where joining a cabinet with your chat window active could cause you to lose control of your avatar. - Added a notice that purchases made with Credits cannot be refunded. - Fixed an issue where Champion Mastery progression did not update properly. (All progress was properly tracked, but it was not being properly displayed.) - Fixed an issue preventing duos from entering a private lobby ID when using a controller. - Fixed text-to-speech narrator mispronunciations across various screens and menus. - Fixed an error when trying to reconnect to the online version of the game while playing on consoles. - We’ve reduced the frequency of players receiving undeserved disconnect penalties in Casual and Ranked Lobbies. Quality of Life Improvements - Letting the champion select timer expire will now trigger the same penalty as force-disconnecting from a match. - We hope this will deter dodging unfavorable matchups or tough opponents before the match begins. - The client should now remember your last selections in champion selection. If you spam enter you should autopick your last loadout. Known Issues - Illaoi’s Guiding Hand Assist (:2xko_forward::2xko_T:) Tentacle fails to hit airborne opponents at low heights. - Illaoi’s Tentacle-generating moves only spawn 1 Tentacle when hitting both opponent champions, but should be spawning 2. - Screen tearing when playing on console versions of the game. ### 1.1.1 — 2XKO Patch Notes: 1.1.1 (Jan 20 2026) - Date: 2026-01-19 - Version: 1.1.1 - Original notes: https://2xko.riotgames.com/en-us/news/game-updates/2xko-patch-notes-1-1-1-jan-20-2026 - Permalink: https://whatsnew.fyi/product/2xko/releases/1.1.1 - Labels: Platforms: Windows, PlayStation, Xbox ### 1.0.3 — 2XKO Hotfix: 1.0.3 (Dec 9, 2025) - Date: 2025-12-09 - Version: 1.0.3 - Original notes: https://2xko.riotgames.com/en-us/news/game-updates/2xko-hotfix-1-0-3-dec-9-2025 - Permalink: https://whatsnew.fyi/product/2xko/releases/1.0.3-74e8f6c0 - Labels: Platforms: Windows, PlayStation, Xbox ### 1.0.3 — 2XKO Hotfix: 1.0.3 (Dec 1, 2025) - Date: 2025-12-01 - Version: 1.0.3 - Original notes: https://2xko.riotgames.com/en-us/news/game-updates/2xko-hotfix-1-0-3-dec-1-2025 - Permalink: https://whatsnew.fyi/product/2xko/releases/1.0.3 - Labels: Platforms: Windows, PlayStation, Xbox ### 1.0.3 — 2XKO Patch Notes: 1.0.3 (Nov 18, 2025) - Date: 2025-11-17 - Version: 1.0.3 - Original notes: https://2xko.riotgames.com/en-us/news/game-updates/2xko-patch-notes-1-0-3-nov-18-2025 - Permalink: https://whatsnew.fyi/product/2xko/releases/1.0.3-83e42682 - Labels: Platforms: Windows, PlayStation, Xbox ### 1.0.1.2 — 2XKO Patch Notes: 1.0.1.2 (Oct 21 2025) - Date: 2025-10-20 - Version: 1.0.1.2 - Original notes: https://2xko.riotgames.com/en-us/news/game-updates/2xko-patch-notes-1-0-1-2-oct-21-2025 - Permalink: https://whatsnew.fyi/product/2xko/releases/1.0.1.2 - Labels: Platforms: Windows, PlayStation, Xbox ### 1.0.1 — 2XKO Season 0 Patch Notes: 1.0.1 - Date: 2025-10-06 - Version: 1.0.1 - Original notes: https://2xko.riotgames.com/en-us/news/game-updates/2xko-season-0-patch-notes-101 - Permalink: https://whatsnew.fyi/product/2xko/releases/1.0.1 - Labels: Platforms: Windows, PlayStation, Xbox
