- Rotate objects directly on the canvas. Turn flat objects into rotatable elements and adjust their angle using on-canvas controls. Preview changes as you rotate, then render the final result at full resolution. After applying rotation, use Harmonize to seamlessly blend the object into your composition.
- Track generative credits usage with the Generative Credits Usage panel. This panel provides a clear breakdown of credit costs for generative features like Generative Fill , Generate similar , and Adobe- and partner-powered AI models.
- Get more accurate and varied results with the updated Firefly Fill and Expand model. Generative Fill and Generative Expand now use the updated model, delivering sharper resolution, improved photorealism, better prompt understanding, and more varied outputs. Generate similar also uses this updated model for more consistent iterative results.
- Get improved results with Firefly Image Model 5 in Generative Fill . Use natural language prompts for more intuitive edits and higher-quality outputs with the latest Adobe Firefly models.
- Upload multiple reference images when working with partner models like Flux and Gemini to better control composition, style, and output.
- Create images from simple text prompts without leaving your workspace, review variations, and add the result directly to your canvas.
- Choose your generative AI model with the updated model picker. The redesigned model picker in the Contextual Task Bar makes it easier to browse and select from available generative AI models, including Adobe Firefly and premium partner models. View model descriptions, credit costs, and capabilities at a glance before generating.
- Workflows
- Organize your layers instantly with AI-powered Layer Cleanup . Automatically detect and remove empty layers, and rename layers with meaningful descriptions to keep complex documents structured. Preview and apply cleanup changes non-destructively with full undo support.
- Find and apply actions faster with the redesigned Actions panel. The updated Actions panel adds natural language search, suggested actions based on your image, and live canvas previews. Browse in-built actions, create your own, and streamline repetitive tasks.
- Move seamlessly between Photoshop and Firefly Boards. Send images to Firefly Boards to explore and organize ideas, then bring JPG and PNG files back to Photoshop for further editing.
- Work more efficiently with an updated Contextual Task Bar that surfaces relevant actions based on your selection.
- Editing tools
- Find and remove distractions with the enhanced Remove tool. Automatically detect and remove wires, people, and general distractions using Find Distractions , with options to review and refine before applying changes.
- Make text adapt automatically to shapes and paths. Use Dynamic Text to resize and reflow text within shapes like Circle , Arch , and Bow as you adjust layout and positioning.
- Remove unwanted reflections from photos. Remove reflections from images shot through glass and generate a clearer result, with options to control output quality and separate reflection details.
- The Filter Gallery now includes a foreground and background color picker for dual-color filters, giving you more control over stylized effects.
- Control brush opacity separately from the resize HUD. A new preference lets you disable opacity adjustments in the resize HUD when using brush and painting tools, so you can resize brushes without affecting opacity.

- Improved performance on supported AMD systems. Photoshop includes optimizations for AMD Zen4 and later processors, improving performance in compute-intensive workflows.
- File support
- Expanded support for modern file formats. Photoshop improves read and write support for newer file formats, enabling more efficient workflows and better compatibility with web and HDR content.
- LTS version
- The current LTS version of Photoshop 2025 is 26.11.5.

- Curves adjustment presets could not be saved when edits were made to the Green channel in RGB mode.
