Greetings Raiders!

Live Update 1.39.0 is going out right now, bringing various game fixes, changes & additional updates to the Matchmaking System. The Seeker & Wolfpack should no longer deal inconsistent damage and trinkets previously added in 1.33.0 can now stack! Additionally, you can find the new Dweller Outfit in the store.

Matchmaking Update: Testing Defensive PvP

Over the past months, improving matchmaking has been one of our top priorities. We’ve introduced various adjustments and improvements based on your feedback & requests.

Since our Notes on The Matchmaking System, one change has stood out with the community: defending yourself is no longer treated the same as starting a fight. It meant self-defense still counted toward your playstyle estimate, but with much less weight than starting a fight. Your feedback was positive, and many of you have asked us to take it further.

The most common follow-up request we've seen is to remove the impact of Defensive PvP entirely - going from reduced weight to none at all. Starting now, we're testing exactly that. During the test, only the fights you choose to start will influence your playstyle estimate, and defending yourself won't affect it at all. This includes knocking out enemies who attacked you first.

So what counts as starting a fight, and what counts as defending yourself? Here's how the system reads an encounter:

  • Who's defending: If the other squad damages, downs, or knocks out any of your squadmates first, your whole squad counts as defending - the squad that strikes first is the one that started the fight.

  • How it's weighed: The more serious the encounter, the more it counts. A drawn-out firefight - with more damage dealt and raiders downed - weighs heavily, while a stray accidental hit or a brief exchange where the other squad flees after minimal damage still counts as starting a fight but weighs far less.

  • Third-partying: Jumping into a fight between other squads that's already underway counts as starting a fight, too.

Over the coming weeks we'll monitor our matchmaking metrics, watch how PvP develops Topside, and gather your feedback.

Matchmaking Changes: Follow-up

Two earlier changes are also still live: the Solo, Duo, and Trio matchmaking tracking from 1.36.0 and the matchmaking optimization adjustments from 1.38.0. We're keeping a close watch on how both perform, but telemetry only tells us half the story - to get the full picture, we need to hear how your matches actually feel.

The latest matchmaking survey covers all of this, so take a minute to fill it out - your input is the other half, and it's what turns our data into better decisions. Thank you, Raiders!

**Reminder - ARC Raiders & THE FINALS Crossover **

Store Update 1.38.0

Added
  • Added two new colors for the Torpedo set (Camo & Black), automatically granted to players who own the outfit
Changed
  • Adjusted matchmaking algorithm to improve match quality, especially during low-population hours, in certain regions, or in specific map conditions
  • Matchmaking algorithm may take longer to find matches as it prioritizes finding better quality matches

Howdy Raiders!

Store Update 1.38.0 is going live right now on all platforms. We’re bringing two new colors for the Torpedo set (Camo & Black), which you will receive automatically if you own the outfit. Same as before, you do not need to restart the game.

The Expedition Departure is happening today as well! Good luck to everyone getting a fresh start. For those of you on your Fourth Expedition, we want to know which Mystery Rewards you’ve received! Need a reminder on how the Expedition works and what to expect? Here's our latest Expedition article.

Matchmaking Optimization

We've heard your feedback on matchmaking. It works well most of the time, but there is room for improvement — especially during low-population hours, in certain regions, or in specific map conditions. We’re working to improve those cases.

Starting today, we'll be testing adjustments to our matchmaking algorithm aimed at improving the quality of your matches. One thing to note: the algorithm may take a little longer to find a match, since it's now working harder to find you a better one.

What does this mean for you? You should run into squads that match your playstyle and squad size even more consistently, making for more fair and enjoyable raids.

As always, we'll be keeping a close eye on our matchmaking metrics and your feedback. We'll review these adjustments shortly and share where things land. Thanks for helping us make the matchmaking experience better for everyone.

For more details on how our matchmaking system works, check out our earlier deep-dive.

Expedition Departure Issue Update

Fixed
  • Reverted Departure sign-up for players whose sign-up behavior appears representative of the issue where they were automatically signed up after completing the associated Damage Challenge

Look out, Raiders!

We have an update regarding the Expedition-related issue where you could automatically be signed up for Departure if you had completed the associated Damage Challenge.

We want to err on the side of caution. We will revert the Departure sign-up for players whose sign-up behavior appears representative of this issue. This may be done in several waves, starting tomorrow, July 17 11:00 AM CEST.

**Throughout the weekend, please make sure to check the in-game Expedition tab and verify that it shows the correct information for your case. **If you had previously been signed up for departure automatically and this does not revert by the end of day tomorrow, please reach out to our support team as soon as possible.

If you have changed your mind and want to depart, you can still opt in to do so. Additionally, Last Call will be available as usual for those of you who aren’t able to sign up for Departure before the deadline.

We will be monitoring closely ahead of the Departure window closing and will continue working on a fix to prevent future instances of this issue. Thank you for your patience.

Store Update 1.37.0

Added
  • Add two new colour variants for the Driftcoat outfit - black/green and red, automatically granted to players who already own the skin
Changed
  • Continue enforcement actions against accounts that exploited the duplication glitch, including warnings for low-severity cases, removal of Coins and items, and suspensions for severe cases with significant economy impact
Fixed
  • Fix unintended effect from a collision change on Seeker Grenade projectiles that made the weapon feel weaker
  • Fix issue where players were automatically signed up for Departure after completing the Deal Damage challenge

Raiders!

Store Update 1.37.0 is going live right now on all platforms with two new colour variants for the Driftcoat outfit - black/green and red. You will get them automatically if you already own the skin, no restart required.

We have seen your feedback about the Seeker Grenade feeling weaker since last week’s update and we have been investigating the issue. We noticed an unintended effect from a collision change on the projectiles and the team is working on a fix - we will let you know as soon as it’s ready.

We have also been looking into your reports of being automatically signed up for Departure after completing the “Deal Damage” challenge (reaching 100,000 damage dealt). This is unintentional, and we’re working on a fix.

Following last week's fix for the duplication glitch, we've been banning accounts that gained a significant advantage from exploiting it. That effort continues this week, similarly to how we handled it in February:

  • Warnings for low-severity cases where abuse was limited.

  • Removal of Coins and items tied to exploit activity.

  • Suspensions for the severe cases, particularly, where exploit usage had a significant impact on the in-game economy or other players’ experience.

Players who deliberately exploited the glitch but didn't gain a major advantage will not be suspended. And if you simply received a few items from someone who was duping, without knowingly exploiting the glitch yourself, you may receive a warning.

Our goal is to only take action against those who significantly and deliberately abused the exploit, not to catch players who were incidentally affected.

Thank you to everyone who reported the issue and continued to play according to the rules.

See you Topside,

//Ossen

Raiders!

Your tentative alliance with the Nomads is progressing by the day. Nomads wander the streets of Speranza, bringing stories, valuable information, and loot to trade. As the ARC presence Topside ever increases in scale, making reliable friends has never been so important.

The 1.36.0 update has just dropped, bringing bug fixes, QoL updates, matchmaking tweaks, new Expedition and Trials Season, and a crossover outfit from the virtual gameshow world of THE FINALS!

What’s New?
  • Expedition 4 - Zenith Outfit

  • Trials Season 5 - Scorta Outfit

  • Solo, Duo, and Trio Matchmaking

  • ARC Raiders & THE FINALS Crossover

  • Store Update - The Triumph Set

  • Store Redesign

Solo, Duo, and Trio Matchmaking

Following your feedback on the Matchmaking survey published in May, we have implemented one of the most requested matchmaking features:

We now track your playstyle separately for Solo, Duo, and Trio rounds, and match you accordingly.

Say you are a friendly solo player, but your two squadmates always want to dominate in trios PvP. Before, being friendly solo could push you into more cooperative trio rounds, and playing PvP-focused in a trio could push you into more PvP-focused solo rounds - so changing squad size meant matchmaking took a bit to adjust.

Now, there's no overlap. You'll be able to go from friendly questing and plant-picking in Solo rounds to adrenaline-fueled PvP Trio games (if that's how you usually play in those respective cases), by simply changing your squad size. The same holds for Duo - all three are tracked on their own.

ARC Raiders & THE FINALS Crossover

Complete a set of Contracts in THE FINALS and unlock the Azimuth outfit and Archeologist backpack bundle in ARC Raiders. Inspired by explorers, Raiders, and Contestants who dare to chase new horizons beyond the stratosphere.

This promotion is available from July 9th 3pm CEST until July 30th 3pm CEST before we flip it around, letting you earn the Azimuth bundle in THE FINALS by playing ARC Raiders.

See you in the Arena... and The Rust Belt!

Bug Fixes & Content Updates

ARC

  • Significantly increased the value of loot dropped by ARC Turbines.

  • Dev note: We've heard your feedback that the ARC Turbine's loot was too low compared to the high effort required to take one down and we agree. That’s why we’ve decided to significantly increase the amount of loot from the ARC Turbine. Happy hunting!

  • Fixed an issue where the ARC Turbine would sometimes disappear right after spawning in.

  • Knockback from Queen & Matriarch stomps will no longer go through walls.

Cosmetic

  • Fixed a clipping issue for the Marco Outfit.

  • Fixed an issue where the Bog Walker Set was missing new colour variants.

  • Over the next few days, we will be issuing refunds to those of you who paid additional Raider Tokens to unlock the new colors. This should be an automated process, and does not require you to do anything.

Items

  • Weapons dropped on the ground now display their installed mods.

  • ARC Turbine parts will no longer drop from Couriers.

  • Higher-value items will now show up on the shelf in the Raider Den, even if you have large stacks of lower-value items that add up to a higher total value than the individual item.

  • Fixed various spots where players could get stuck or clip through the terrain.

  • Fixed several locations where players fell through the terrain on The Dam close to spawn bunkers.

Quests

  • Fixed an issue where the Quests tab could loop back to the 'Done' screen after claiming a reward and pressing ESC, preventing selection of a new quest.

  • We are investigating an ongoing issue where some XBOX players (particularly on Series S) are experiencing crashes.

  • The Quick Wheel item selection may suddenly swap to another item on the Wheel when closing the Quick Wheel and re-opening it quickly.

Maintaining Fair Play

We know Topside can sometimes be dangerous and unpredictable (which is why we love it), but nobody’s a fan of Raiders finding ways to get unfair advantages.

Since our May update on Ensuring Fair Play, we’ve been striving to provide steady (https://arcraiders.com/news/live-update-1-33-0#anti-cheat) on how the fight against players who seek unfair advantages is going. Today, we’re taking a moment to recap everything we’ve been up to, and to provide some additional details.

Anti-Cheat and Detection

Over the past few weeks, we’ve completed our rollout of Denuvo Anti-Cheat. It is now enforced for all players, and the results we’ve seen so far have been promising.

Thanks to the efforts of our anti-cheat team, we are continuously getting more effective at identifying & acting against cheaters.

These improvements are the product of constant refinements to our anti-cheat stack (hardware & software detection, ML-driven input telemetry analysis and much, much more).

Handling & Preventing Item Duplication

Like with anti-cheat, we are always working against duplication exploits. We’re keeping a close eye on the game economy, and constantly catalogue, investigate and seek to counteract exploits.

Recently, we’ve fixed some exploits related to duplication. We always want to make sure fixes are widely effective, so we make sure to monitor and evaluate our success before sharing that progress with you.

Evolving “No Free Loadouts”

Sometimes, going into a high-value map condition and encountering raiders with free kits can also feel unfair. Since 1.33.0, we have introduced the experimental “No Free Loadout” requirement for Night Raid and Close Scrutiny. We’ve seen your reactions, and we’re taking your feedback into account.

We are looking into expanding “No Free Loadout” to more map conditions and investigating other opportunities to further improve the experience overall. We really appreciate the feedback you have been sharing in the survey from last week and we will keep you in the loop once we have new changes for you to try.

What’s Next?

There is yet more work to be done, of course. When we can, we want to share more of our progress on all of these initiatives. As you may have noticed, you now receive an in-game Action Notice when we’ve taken action against someone you reported. We’re also continuing to compensate for loot lost to cheaters, regardless of whether you reported them or not.

These are separate parts of the same system. We will continue to provide progress updates when we can, and we’re thankful for your efforts in reporting and informing us about unlawful behavior.

See you Topside,

//Ossen

A note on live updates:

As we communicated in our blog about the changes to how we update ARC Raiders, live updates are going to work just a little differently from what you’re used to. We plan to deliver a live update every three weeks. These will vary in size and scope, but we will use each one as an opportunity to address your feedback. In between these live updates, we will still be updating and hotfixing when needed, with store and Trials rotations every week. We believe that this process will give us the time and focus we need to make changes that are important to the community.

The Riven Tides Update is the sixth free content update from ARC Raiders since launch, and expands the world of the Rust Belt with the new coastal Riven Tides map, new ARC Turbine, new Beachcombing minor map condition, alongside a new player event, a player project, quality of life updates and more.

NEW MAP: RIVEN TIDES

On the western coast of the Rust Belt lies a stretch of deserted shoreline. This location has been abandoned twice: once during the Exodus, and once again by survivors of the First Wave, who failed to hold down the exposed settlement against ARC. From the fading resort to the towering dockyard, stake your claim and discover what treasures lie within.

NEW ENEMY: ARC TURBINE

Almost beautiful when silhouetted against the sunset, the ARC Turbine drifts across the Rust Belt. Calm, docile, quiet. That is until you get up close. Nobody knows quite what it’s doing, but if you try to interfere, you best be ready for a totally unique fight. Its defensive abilities are brutal, posing a new challenge to Raiders and demanding skill, patience, and nerves in equal measure.

NEW MINOR MAP CONDITION: BEACHCOMBING

Riven Tides introduces a new minor map condition: Beachcombing. Keep an eye out for the Dockmaster's Detector during a session and sweep it across the sand to uncover buried loot hidden beneath the surface. What you dig up will vary, just keep in mind that the richest hunting grounds are out in the open…

NEW ITEMS: CRASH MAT AND POWERED DESCENDER

Getting from A to B is never an easy feat in the Rust Belt, but it’s even harder when A is 100 feet high and B is the hard, splatty ground. With two new fall mitigation items, skillful Raiders can learn to defy gravity, as long as they remain focused.

NEW EVENT: LAST RESORT

Running through to May 25, the Last Resort event rewards you with Merits as your XP converts during play on any map. For bonus gains, hunt down miniature Ship Models hidden throughout the world, each one carrying a Merit value based on rarity. Rack up enough Merits to unlock three pages of rewards, including the Junior Outfit, Hydrologist backpack, Hose attachment, Brass Faucet charm, new emotes, and 250 Raider Tokens in total.

NEW RAIDER PROJECT: AVIAN ALARM

The new Avian Alarm Raider project tasks you with building Bird Cages as a makeshift security system to sense tremors and atmospheric changes, deploying cages at buoys along the Riven Tides coastline. Work through all five stages to earn the Dockmaster's Detector (your key to Beachcombing), Gel Patches, the Bird House backpack attachment, the Fist In Air emote, and 250 Raider Tokens in total.

NEW COSMETICS

Riven Tides brings a wave of new cosmetics, starting with two sets available on launch day. The Solare Set drapes you in ceremonial layers and woven fabrics, fitting attire for those who greet the sunrise like a ritual. The Rachetta Set throws subtlety overboard: bold colors, an athletic cut, and zero interest in camouflage for Raiders who rely on speed over stealth.

See you beachside, Raiders!

It’s now time for you to check it out for yourself. Explore the abandoned shoreline, traverse the Exodus port, and experience the lost luxury of the Panorama Azzurro hotel.

This is the Rust Belt, and it’s not going to be easy. Other Raiders are already on the scent of fresh loot, and a new floating ARC machine has been seen patrolling the skies. What it’s doing, and how to counter it, is for you to find out.

We are working on a general balancing pass for Augments to buff some of those that are underperforming, most especially the Combat Mk. 3 (Flanking) Augment which has yet to find its place to shine. It is also a goal to develop the full roster of Augments to ensure that all categories are well represented.

Patch Highlights:
  • Trigger ‘Nade balancing

  • Repairing changes

  • Bettina Buff

Balance Changes

Weapon Economy Adjustments

The weapon economy has increasingly started looking more and more unbalanced, where players engaging in heavy PVP have to make a lot of difficult decisions around their weapons while the most friendly players have ended up in a chronic state of weapon accumulation. We want to balance this out so that all players are challenged by weapon attrition, as well as introducing new ways to combat it.

New feature: Repair on upgrade

Weapon upgrading becomes very expensive when you feel like you have to repair the weapon beforehand, making it less accessible than we would like. To give more ways to repair low durability weapons and elevate the upgrade loop:

  • Upgrading weapons will now repair 25% of the weapons max durability

** Weapon drop & durability**

We're reducing weapon spawn around the outskirts of the maps to increase value and tension of high tier areas and locked rooms.

We're also increasing the range of durability a weapon can spawn with, as well as reducing the average outside of locked rooms. This should be easily recouped by the new repair on upgrade.

  • Avg durability on spawned weapons: 50 -> 30

These changes mean that you might find a weapon on the outskirts with 15 durability but will still find weapons around 60 durability in locked rooms.

Weapon durability loss on shot

We've heard a clear frustration that maintaining high tier weapons is very expensive compared to the lower tier ones. We want high tier weapons to have more longevity compared to low tier weapons, so we're adjusting durability loss on shot to match this:

  • Common weapons:** +75% durability loss on shot**

  • Uncommon weapons:** +50% durability loss on shot**

  • Rare weapons:** +35% durability loss on shot**

  • Epic weapons: -5% durability loss on shot

  • Legendary weapons:** -10% durability loss on shot**

Weapon durability loss on being knocked out

We want heavy PVP to be a viable way to play ARC Raiders, and to align this playstyle with other ways to play, we're reducing durability loss on weapons when a player is knocked out by 50%.

  • Durability loss on weapons of knocked out player: -30% durability -> -15% durability

** ARC**

  • Removed Comets from standard sessions in the Dam Battlegrounds.

  • Reduced Firefly presence heavily in Dam Battlegrounds.

  • Reduced Comet presence in Buried City.

  • Dev note: The addition of Comets and Fireflies raised the difficulty in beginner-oriented sessions a bit too much, and to bring that experience back to the intended level we opted to reduce their presence in the sessions that were affected the most.

Gameplay

Stella Montis

  • Adjusted Exodus recyclables loot distribution to be more evenly spread across containers.

Items

Vaporizer Regulator

  • Stack size increased 1 -> 3

Trigger 'Nade

  • **Dev Note: **You can no longer throw a new grenade at the same time as triggering a previously thrown one, and will instead have to wait for the animations to finish. This should reduce Trigger 'Nade spam by increasing the delay between each grenade, and effectively remove the ability to prematurely detonate a second grenade with the first one.

  • Added a 1s delay after using the throw action, before allowing the next throw/trigger action

  • Added a 1.3s delay after using the trigger action, before allowing the next throw/trigger action

Photoelectric Cloak

  • Increasing weight of Photoelectric Cloak from 1 -> 3 to bring it more in line with its rarity/cost.

  • Increased Power use rate from 2.5/s to 10/s

  • **Dev Note: **The Photoelectric Cloak has been quite aggressively over-performing, especially in regards to the length of time it can be activated. This change is intended to add more intentionality between uses; it still has the same strength while activated, but now you might need to find cover sooner, or think more about how you approach areas heavily contested by ARC.

Weapons

Bettina Balancing

Dev Note: The Bettina has been buffed to push it closer to its rarity. The base damage and damage against ARC armor has been increased to get more value out of each bullet, but the base fire-rate has also been reduced. The dispersion has been adjusted to support firing the weapon in longer bursts before losing accuracy, and the stack size of heavy ammo has also been increased to make it less punishing to bring the ammo you need. These changes should make each shot matter more, while also providing the ability to land more shots if you control your bursts well.

  • Base Damage increased from 14 to 16

  • Base Fire-Rate reduced from 285 to to 235

  • Per Shot Dispersion reduced by around 40% (Making it bloom slower)

  • Dispersion Recovery Time improved by around 30%

  • Damage against ARC armor increased by around 33%

Heavy Ammo

  • Stack Size increased from 40 to 60

The team is hard at work getting the Flashpoint update ready for next week, and we’re excited for you to dive into the new content.

We’ve also seen some questions about the size of our weekly patches, so to clarify: these updates are focused on smaller quality-of-life improvements and store rotations. Our larger, more content-heavy updates are currently planned for the end of each month.

Raiders!

Update 1.20.0 is rolling out on all platforms, please restart your game to download.

  • Rawhide Outfit.

  • Two new haircuts.

  • Il Toro Balancing

  • Dev Note: This is an adjustment many of you requested. We have tuned the Il Toro to address its DPS and effectiveness at range, especially when combined with a choke. We're also making some changes so it performs more like a weapon of its rarity (less versatile at lower upgrade levels and more dependent on upgrades and mods). Most notably, fire-rate and reload time have been reduced, which will make it more important to fully utilize positioning, cover, and timing to defeat your opponents. We will of course continue to keep a close eye on this to see how it plays out in practice, and make additional adjustments when needed. Thank you for your feedback and patience!

  • Pellet Damage reduced from 7.5 to 7

  • Base Fire-Rate reduced from 43 to 38

  • Base Dispersion increased from 4.5 to 6

  • Total Reload Time increased from 4.3s to 5.7s

  • Looping Reload Entry increased from 0.8s to 1s

  • Looping Reload Time increased from 0.5s to 0.7s

  • Damage loss from Falloff increased from 40% to 50%

  • Fixed an issue that would cause persistent audio from destroyed Comets and Fireballs.

  • Fixed an issue where players could get pushed through the wall and stuck on the Dam Controlled Access Zone.

  • Fixed missing collision issues near the east elevator and under pipes on Spaceport.

  • Reduced Energy Clips sell price from 1000 to 200 coins.

  • Dev note: Energy Clips have unintentionally become a very profitable craft, so we are reducing the sell price to make the value profitability in line with other crafts.

Raiders!

There’s a new update rolling out right now. Restart your client to download.

  • Fixed an exploit that allowed players to put weapons in a safe pocket without the Safekeeper Augment.

  • Fixed an issue that allowed players to put the Snaphook into a safe pocket while in use.

  • Lowered the drop rate of rare blueprints slightly and raised the drop rate for high tier materials in First Wave Caches on the Hurricane map condition.

  • Dev note: The main reason for this change is that the First Wave Caches have been handing out a lot of blueprints, especially given how good players have been at tracking them down and looting them. To help balance that out, we’re bumping up the drop rates for higher-tier materials inside the caches. So while you might see a few fewer blueprints overall, you’ll be getting better materials in return. Caches will still be a solid way to find blueprints, just not to the point where you can reliably walk away from every session with 3–5 of them.

  • Added a very hot fix for the Dam Controlled Access Zone.

  • Fixed an issue where some ARC would occasionally cause performance drops.

  • Fixed an issue where the final stage of the quest “Worth Your Salt” could not be completed if someone else had already done it in the same raid.

  • Fixed a rare issue where players would crash when navigating to the Player Proximity menu.

Balance Changes
Weapons

In 1.13 we shipped an update that included an optimization fix for our weapons, but as many of you noticed this had the unforeseen consequence of lowering the total fire-rate of semi-automatic weapons. In 1.13.1 we reverted that fix, but something else made it into the update that shouldn't have.

Many of you have reported a "shadow buff" to the weapons, and after investigating it we found that 1.13.1 had inadvertently impacted our weapon input buffers. Where you previously would have to time your inputs to the intended cadence of a weapon to reach its full potential, you could now instead spam-click the button, effectively bypassing any skill requirement to learn the weapon's cadence. We want to keep some of that skill expression, but we also recognize that what we had previously didn't feel very responsive. To address that and land in some sort of middle ground, we have since added more levers for us to control the weapon input buffering window on a gun-to-gun basis, and we've adjusted the semi-automatic weapons accordingly. The weapons should now still be more responsive to fire when spam-clicking, but the players who choose to pace their shots will see better results.

In addition to these changes, we've also been looking into the balance between our low tier and high tier weapons. A lot of you have expressed concerns that some low tier weapons outperform our higher tier weapons at significantly reduced cost, and we're hoping to shift that balance a bit while still keeping some of that flexibility to punch above your weight if you are skilled enough. We're starting by reducing the overall TTK of the Stitcher and Kettle, and increasing the maneuverability of the Aphelion and Jupiter. We're also taking a second stab at the Venator, which still seems to be dominating a lot of our PvP encounters.

Stitcher

**Dev Note: **The Stitcher has played its role well as a close quarter weapon that rewards thoughtful positioning, but we've found that its fast TTK can sometimes lead to situations where you're ambushed and killed before you have much time to react. As many of you have pointed out, the high headshot damage is a large contributor to this problem. The TTK is often fine when the weapon is aimed at the center of mass, but when you get close enough to land the majority of the shots in your target's head, we see TTK numbers that are much faster than other weapons. These changes aim to bring that headshot TTK a bit closer to the body shot TTK by both reducing the full-spray accuracy of the weapon, and reducing the headshot multiplier.

  • Reduced Headshot Multiplier from 2.5 to 1.75

  • Reduced Base Damage from 7 to 6.5

  • Increased Per Shot Dispersion by around 50% (Making it bloom faster)

Kettle

**Dev Note: **The Kettle has been in a bit of a weird place. Its high damage output was intended to be used in a more medium range setting at a more deliberate pace, but we see many of you bringing it up in close quarters and effectively turning into an SMG. We want to distinguish it more from the Stitcher, but we also see that you enjoy the versatility of this weapon. So we're reducing the base damage to bring its TTK more in line, but we're keeping the high headshot multiplier to see if we can push players to go for more headshots.

  • Reduced Base Damage from 10 to 8.5

Venator

Dev Note: Since the last nerfs to the Venator in 1.3.0, we've kept an eye on our data to see how it performs. During this time many of you have raised concerns that it's still dominating in PVP, and our data has shown that it is one of the highest performing weapons in the game right now. For a weapon of this tier we want it to perform well, but maybe not this well. We're looking at an overall nerf to its damage to bring down its TTK, and if that doesn't work we might need to look into its ammo consumption and cost efficiency.

  • Reduced Headshot Multiplier from 2.5 to 2

  • Reduced Base Damage from 9 to 8

Jupiter

**Dev Note: **In PVP, the Jupiter does the most headshot damage in the game, but it's quite difficult to hit headshots with it at longer ranges. You're also quite vulnerable when you use it in closer ranges since missing one shot will make you a sitting target until you either reload or swap weapons. We're increasing how much you zoom when you use ADS to give you a better view of the targets you're trying to hit, and we're reducing its equip and unequip time to make it easier to swap to a secondary weapon to follow up on your shot.

  • Improved ADS Magnification from ~1.9x to ~2.2x

  • Improved Equip Time from 1.2s to 1.05s

  • Improved Unequip Time from 0.9s to 0.75s

Aphelion

**Dev Note: **We weren't quite happy with the previous balancing of the Aphelion. It was intended to be a more PVP focused legendary weapon, but it couldn't quite keep up with the pacing of many of our other PVP weapons. We've made some changes to make it feel less bulky and a bit more nimble to use, to make it more viable in PVP.

  • Reduced Base Reload Time from 4.5s to 3.5s

  • Reduced Time Between Shots from 0.9s to 0.7s

  • Reduced Vertical Recoil by ca 50%

  • Improved ADS Settle Speed by ca 35%

Raiders,

What happens topside, stays topside - Raiders have to leave their grudges at the tubes.

But Speranza also has a conscience. While Raider violence can’t be totally controlled, Celeste is keen to remind us why we took refuge under the dust of the Rust Belt; and that just because we live in the dirt, we don’t always have to act like it.

The Shared Watch is an annual holiday that reminds us of the true enemy, by celebrating those that look out for their fellow Raiders. Tolerate, team-up, or take out some ARC - it’s all in the spirit of the Shared Watch.

What’s New?
  • **SHARED WATCH **

This is an opportunity to team up in the fight against the machines.

The Shared Watch Event starts today and ends on February 24. Players will earn merits from destroying, assisting and damaging ARC and earn rewards. No merits will be earned from PvP encounters. Bring a friend or bring a stranger, but above all, bring enough ammo to make sure the machines notice you first.

  • Cold Snap Map Condition

Winter is not quite done with the Rust Belt - We are bringing back Cold Snap!

The map condition is back in rotation on outdoor maps with the same mix of risk and reward. Frostbite damage will make your trip topside a short one if you don’t seek shelter, but for those who do brave the tundra - there’s increased loot value at stake!

You can still collect Candleberries, but they are no longer tied to any event. You can also collect, and throw, snowballs! Use them wisely, or don't.

  • Cosmetics

The Vulpine set

The Slugger set

Content and Bug Fixes

Some of you have noticed changes in past updates that didn’t make it into the patch notes, thank you for flagging those and keeping us on our toes!

We’ve been building ARC Raiders for years, but we’ve only been live for a short while, and we’re still growing into the rhythm (and discipline) of live operations. Making patch notes that are complete, accurate, and easy to follow is a muscle we’re actively training.

We’re improving our internal process so fewer things slip through, and when something does, your reports help us catch it quickly and update the notes. Please keep letting us know when you spot something missing, it genuinely helps.

**Raiders! **

Yesterday’s update introduced a handful of unintended issues. We are rolling out a hotfix that addresses the most impactful ones we’ve identified so far. Xbox will be delayed but we are actively working on it and during this time, Xbox players will unfortunately not be able to cross play.

Fixes
  • Fixed an issue that caused unintended fire rate changes to several weapons. Dev Note:_ Following yesterday’s update, some weapons were affected by a bug that reduced their rate of fire. This was not an intentional change. We always aim to include all changes in our patch notes, and we appreciate you flagging this quickly.

_

  • Fixed an issue where some cosmetics available through Raider Tokens were missing from the customization menu if they hadn’t been purchased yet.

  • Fixed an issue where parts of the Ukrainian localization unintentionally appeared in the game. Dev Note:_ We’re actively working on a full Ukrainian translation among other languages for ARC Raiders and will release once they are ready._

  • We have heard you wondering about the loot appearing too slowly. We have rebalanced the speed at which the first item appears when looting. The looting speed before 1.13.0 was unintended. Players with the Looter’s Instincts unlocked will still see loot faster than those without.

Thank you for reporting these issues and for your patience while we work through them.

See you Topside,** **//Ossen

Raiders,

Trouble is brewing in the Rust Belt.

Heavy sandstorms have been battering the surface. Flocks of birds have been spotted around Buried City, gathering around chimneys for what many assume to be nefarious reasons. And to top it all off, maverick Raiders have been spotted hunting ARC for sport, and single-handedly taking on entire squads.

What’s New?
  • Solo vs Squads

  • Solo vs Squads is a new matchmaking option for our experienced and highly skilled players who enjoy the PvP aspect of the game. Solo Raiders level 40 and above will get the "Solo vs Squad" toggle above matchmaking to join the Squads queue and tackle squads of Raiders head-on. When opting in, players will receive +20% bonus XP at the end of the round on both successful extract, and defeat.

  • Trophy Display

  • A new long-term project which requires players to hunt increasingly dangerous groups of ARC to submit their parts for rewards. Raiders will be able to build a new Display Case over 5 different steps (same as for the Candleberry Project) and each level will add a new item to the Display Case.

  • The rewards for completing each step include blueprints as well as Raider Tokens, and full completion also brings additional rewards including a Howl emote, a guitar and 300,000 Coins. There is currently no fixed end date and it will not be impacted by Expedition resets.

  • Bird City

  • Flocks of birds have moved into Buried City, building nests in the empty chimneys. We got some reports of them storing shiny trinkets inside so make sure to inspect them. This new permanent map condition will be applied to the Buried City map only which will cycle in and out of rotation weekly. There will be more bird traps and ziplines present on the map. Raiders can expect more combat in, on, or around the rooftops, including more flying ARC, and more players in proximity.

  • New Items

  • 2 new types of Epic Augments

  • 7 New Quests
