Clicker Heroes

A new major update for Clicker Heroes is now live, bringing full controller support to the game on Steam.

You can now progress through zones, hire and level up heroes, defeat monsters, collect gold, manage upgrades, and navigate the whole game using a controller. Whether you prefer playing from the couch, using a gamepad at your desk, or taking Clicker Heroes with you on Steam Deck, this update makes the game easier and more comfortable to play your way:

To play with a controller, just plug it in and play. You may also want to try it in Steam Big Picture mode.

What’s new:

• Added full controller support to Clicker Heroes with broad controller compatibility

• Added controller-friendly navigation across all main game UI

• Added on-screen keyboard

• Added binding/remapping for controller + support for common gamepad layouts

• Added Steam Deck support, so Clicker Heroes should now play much more naturally on Deck

Other things added:

• Added Playsaurus Rewards - Claim free items acquired via the Points Shop (Playsaurus Account).

• Added a new special Clickable for a limited time (Jun. 22 - Jul. 7, 2026).

• Cloud Saves from Playsaurus account can now be shared between Steam and Web.

Bugs fixed:

• Fixed a few language typos.

• Fixed Quick Ascension not showing the 'Hire new Mercenaries' button right after Transcension.

For the first time since 2020 Clicker Heroes has received a major update on Steam! As some of you may know Clicker Heroes was originally created using Adobe Flash which is no longer supported on many platforms. Which is why we’re excited to announce that Clicker Heroes has been ported to a completely new engine! Porting Clicker Heroes opens up the possibility for potential future updates where as with the old Flash version it was no longer possible to update and switching engines was required if the game was going to continue to run on Web and Mobile.

You may notice that the game looks slightly different, but that's because we had to manually recreate the scaling and placement of each Ui and because Flash used vector graphics and now we're using raster images. Which unfortunately is what most modern game engines use. We've tried to match it as best as we could. The game should be mostly the same experience as the previous version besides a few small QoL changes and small features.

Notable changes:

• Added the ability to re-roll mercenary quests • Added new Graphics option to disable video when game is running minimized • Game performance should be much better. Ex: Long timelapses now complete much much faster. • Imports and Exports now read and write to the clipboard automatically. • Makes it clear if a clan leader has locked an immortal raid's progress. • The popup stating to wait before sending another message in clan chat now displays exactly how many seconds to wait. • Updated German, French, Russian, Korean, and Japanese translations • Improve clan chat language support. • Took steps to improve font readability for non-English localizations. • Enabled holding down the left and right buttons on the zone selector to quickly scroll through zone buttons. • Tooltip explaining increased monster health after surpassing zone 501 without first transcending. • Added a setting to toggle off floating text saying how many primal souls the player received. • The game will now ask you to select your language on load if you haven't done so already. • Added a setting to toggle appending the current date and time to exported saves and ascension/transcension CSVs. • Added a setting to change multi-leveling to every Nth level instead of +N levels (apologies in advance, as the text for this has not been localized yet). • When exporting saves, the game now attempts to copy the export data to the clipboard in addition to saving a text file. • When exporting saves, the local date and time are now appended to the name of the generated text file and gets saved to a specific folder. • Added Discord Rich Presence • Added Steam Rich Presence

Today we’re releasing a new update to Clicker Heroes that completely revamps the Clans system.

Thanks to all of you that participated in the beta!

New Raid System:

We have revamped the entire clan tab with a new UI and a whole new raid system.

The new raid system rewards two currencies: Rubies and Immortal Souls

New Feature: Raid Progression

-- Immortal Souls can be used to increase your level and thus, increase your damage per click against Immortals.

-- While you'll start off gaining only small amounts of rubies, the stronger you grow, the more rubies you'll earn by defeating higher level Immortals.

New Feature: Raid Classes.

-- Raids now have you choose one of the three classes to do battle against Immortals: Rogue, Mage, or Priest

-- Immortals are weak to a different one of the classes everyday so work with your raid to have all the types covered.

New Feature: Bonus Fights.

-- After completing an Immortal for the day, your clan has the option to buy an additional fight for rubies based on the level of the Immortal.

-- The bonus fight allows you to gain even more Rubies and Immortal Souls per day.

-- Only one member has to pay for the whole clan so work with your clan to spread the wealth.

New Feature: Immortal Locking.

-- Immortals in the new system are much tougher than before and some will require farming in order to beat.

-- Clan Masters will be able to stop the automatic progression of Immortal fights so that they can stay on an Immortal they can beat and therefore continue to get rewards.

New Feature: Check-In

-- Not every Immortal will take your entire roster of ten to beat so as long as you show up for the day, even if the Immortal is dead, you can check-in for the rewards.

Apart from those features, here are some other key differences compared to the old system:

-- Only 3 Autoclickers are allowed in the fight at a time

-- The fight timer is 16 seconds

-- Only the best of your scores counts against the Immortal but you can pay 10 rubies to try to improve your score.

Legacy Raid System:

•  If you liked the old system, you can still do those!
  

•  The old raid system has been renamed to "Legacy Raids"
  

•  In the new UI, it has been placed in the third tab from the top

•  hopefully make clans easier to communicate with and manage.

1.0e11 Patch Notes - February 28th 2018 Heroes:

• New Heroes!

Zone Scaling:

• Monsters per zone now increases by 0.1 every 500 zones (down from 1).
• Partial monsters per zone are counted as a chance of an additional monster.

Outsiders:

• Borb now grows at a rate of 12.5% per level (up from 10%).

Ancients:

• Kumawakamaru now approaches -8 monsters per zone (down from -100 monsters per zone).

Rubies:

• There is no longer a limit on the number of ruby clickables per ascension.
• Quick Ascension's hero soul reward will no longer grow past zone 1000000.
• Adds a 168 hour duration Timelapse purchasable for 50 rubies.
• Timelapse now has a minimum gold reward of an average monster farmed at highest zone this ascension.

Achievements:

• Adds achievements for acquiring 1000, 10000, and 100000 Ancient Souls.
• Adds achievements for beating zones 100000, 250000, and 1000000.

Mercenaries:

• Base rewards for gold quests now have a minimum reward of an average monster farmed at highest zone this ascension.

Skills:

• Clickstorm now provides a temporary +1 Auto Clicker (+2 when Energized) for its duration (changed from a flat +10 CPS).
• Activating a skill while idle will no longer break idle. * Clicks from Clickstorm will still break idle. * Golden Clicks will not benefit from idle gold since it requires clicks which break idle.
• Energized skills now have a pink glow on the action bar.
• Activating a skill while it is still active will now extend the energized state in addition to resetting the duration.
• Skill durations longer than 60 seconds are now described in terms of minutes, hours, and days in the tooltip.
• Skill tooltips now list the time remaining on an active skill.

Miscellaneous:

• Modifier toggles now set the default modifier for a tab: * Holding a modifier key supersedes the toggle but doesn't change it.
• The xMAX hero leveling modifier now levels an even 10000 levels (changed from 9999).
• Adds a stat for Critical Click Damage to the Stats Panel.
• Adds a stat for Auto Clicks Per Second to the Stats Panel.
• Adds text to the Ancient tooltip describing the current level purchase modifiers.
• Adds text to the Ancient tooltip describing the 'V' modifier which can be used to enter a custom ancient level quantity.
• Transcension Ancient Soul counts now also include the current ascension when showing AS to be gained from transcending.
• Adds an option to toggle the 'Entering Zone' text.
• V+Click leveling now supports a decimal place on the number's base (i.e. 1.1e10).

Bugfixes:

• Fixes an issue where the language button overlapped the close button in the options menu.

Zone Scaling:

• As zones increase in level, the following scaling now occurs every 500 zones: * +1 monster required per zone * -2% primal boss chance (minimum 5% primal boss chance) * Bosses have +0.4 more monsters worth of health * -2 seconds on boss timer (minimum 2 second boss timer) * Less treasure chest chance (minimum 1% treasure chest chance)
• Monster health growth rate is now constant after Zone 200k

Transcendence:

• There is no longer a maximum transcendent soul reward
• Increases the rate at which transcendent power grows
• Maximum Transcendent Power is now 25%

Outsiders:

• All Outsider costs now start at 1 AS and grow linearly by +1 AS per level (except Phandoryss who always costs 1)
• New Outsiders! * Rhageist - +% effectiveness of Atman * K'Ariqua - +% effectiveness of Bubos * Orphalas - +% effecctiveness of Chronos * Sen-Akhan - +% effectiveness of Dora

• Nogardnit, Ancient of Moderation now gives +% DPS per unassigned Auto Clicker when idle (change from +% Gold)
• Kumawakamaru, Ancient of Shadows now approaches -100 monsters required to advance to the next zone with a minimum of 2 monsters per zone (up from approaching -8 monsters)
• Dogcog, Ancient of Thrift now approaches 99.99999999% hero cost reduction (up from 99%)
• Bubos, Ancient of Diseases now reduces boss life by a number of monsters instead of a percentage (description change only)

Heroes:

• New Heroes! * Xavira * Cadu and Ceus - dual heroes that upgrade each other * The Maw * Yachiyl, the Primordial Soul

Ruby Shop:

• Auto Clickers now provide exponentially more clicks per additional Auto Clicker placed on the monster after 4 Auto Clickers (up from +10 CPS per Auto Clicker)
• Auto Clickers now provide exponentially more Nogardnit bonus per additional unused Auto Clicker.
• There are now three options for Timelapses: * 8 Hours - Cost 10 Rubies (down from 20) * 24 Hours - Cost 20 Rubies (new) * 48 Hours - Cost 30 Rubies (new)

Clickmas Returns:

• New Item: Spiked Nog
• New Item: Label Maker
• Present Panic, special mercenaries and quests, presents and more return for another year!

Miscellaneous

• Save files are now compressed into a new, smaller format, reducing their overall file size
• Clickables will now appear in random positions with random rotation and scaling instead of being fixed to a few locations
• Transcending will now automatically ascend as well, adding those Hero Souls to the total sacrificed
• Zones will now always show monster requirements even when the zone is complete.
• Adds a new animation for primal bosses
• Adds a new visual representation of zones to the zone selector
• Adds an icon in the zone information to describe the current effects for the zone range
• Adds a button to summon all remaining ancients if you can afford the Hero Soul cost
• Improves the performance of opening and moving gilds
• Reduces the frequency of HZE updates are sent to the clan server

Bugfixes:

• Fixes a number of issues related to clans, particularly at large Immortal healths or Immortal damages.
• Fixes an issue preventing Click Combo from continuing to grow.
• Fixes a bug where the first click when idle would still give idle gold for Golden Clicks.

• Seasonal Event: Merry Clickmas!
• During the "Merry Clickmas!" event, you can collect presents containing Rubies and Relics as well as special holiday items such as Auto Clicker skins, Candy Canes (which can be used to resurrect fallen mercenaries) and more.
• Seasonal Mercenary Quest: Mercenaries can be sent to retrieve Clickmas Presents for you. This quest is always available as a fifth quest option for the duration of the event.
• Seasonal Minigame: Present Panic! Clicking on a special clickable during the event brings you to a fight where you can click rapidly to gather as many presents as you can.
• "Merry Clickmas!" ends January 2nd.
• You are now given the option to salvage your Junk Pile when Ascending.

1.0 Patch Notes

• Transcendence: If you have reached zone 300 or later, you will be able to sacrifice your ancients, hero souls, relics, forge cores and gilds* to appease the Outsiders and gain previously unheard of levels of power. The more hero souls a player has sacrificed to transcend, total, over the entire life of the game (including those which had been spent on ancients who are sacrificed) the more Ancient Souls and Transcendent Power they will have.

• Gilds purchased with rubies will be restored gradually as regular gilds are unlocked in the new transcension.

• Ancient Souls: Feed these to the Outsiders to gain new upgrades, such as greatly improved effectiveness of idle bonuses or stronger Solomon effects.

• Transcendent Power: With this, every primal boss drops exponentially more hero souls than the boss before it.

• New Big Number System: Faster and more precise calculations for the very large numbers. Ridiculously large numbers are now supported, which can only really be attained through multiple Transcensions.

• Rebalanced Ancients: All Ancients which previously had a maximum level are no longer capped and can be upgraded indefinitely. Note: If you previously had any levels of these ancients, you will see your current ancient levels adjusted to match your previous values. However, when sacrificing your ancients for Transcension, the game will only consider the pre-patch amount of Hero Souls you spent on them.

• Ancient Leveling Improvements: Quantities of ancient level purchases now dynamically adapt to the current level of the ancient. No longer limited to purchasing a maximum of 10k levels at a time for very high level ancients. Additionally, players can now hold 'v' when leveling ancients to be given the option to type in the exact number of levels they wish to purchase.

• Non-Transcendent Ancients: Iris, Khrysos, Pluto and Thusia do not exist for players who have transcended. Transcendent players are much more powerful than non-Transcendent players, and these ancients needed to be removed either because they would be too powerful when combined with Transcendent Power or because they would be worth very little without the other removed ancients.

Patch 0.26 Notes

• Relics have been reworked to give ancient levels instead of similar stats, they will still display the stat quantities for players who do not yet have the corresponding ancient.

• Most relics are either slightly stronger or roughly the same as a result of the change.

• Solomon relics are worse for players with more than 20 levels of Solomon than they previously were. If you have Solomon relics, the game will compensate you for this change by granting you free Solomon levels to make up the difference.

• Toggled modifiers no longer persist between tab changes.

• Scroll position is now remembered between tabs.

• Various bugfixes.

We got a mini-update for you today with a bunch of quality-of-life fixes, have fun!

• Mercenary tooltip shows current quest rewards (useful on dead mercs).
• Press 't' to cycle through toggled modifiers (shift/ctrl/z/q) for buying hero levels.
• Only +skills% mercenaries gain the effect of their rarity bonus on skill quest rewards (bugfix).
• Hold 'q' when moving gilds to move all gilds to the selected hero (same functionality/cost as holding shift and clicking until all gilds are moved, does nothing if you can't afford to move every single gild you have).
• Quest choices are now sorted in order of ascending duration (except recruitment quests, which remain at the top).
• Hero upgrades that affect other heroes now have tooltips that understand the upgrade's actual requirements.
• Increased maximum size of powerbloop reward.

• Hero tooltips will no longer claim that a hero is contributing greater than 100% of total DPS.
• Mercenary tooltip will no longer display negative experience.
• Quest rewards displayed will always be rounded down from actual rewards, so nothing displayed as a 100% chance will ever fail.

You can also now upgrade your relics with forge cores. The cap is level 50 currently, but we're rebalancing relics to have no cap shortly in the future!
