- Reverted to the original “keep on clipboard” behaviour when an action pastes text. This was changed in version 2026.7 to restore the previous clipboard contents, but after user feedback the original behaviour is back by default. Use defaults write com.pilotmoon.popclip KeepPastedTextOnClipboard -bool NO if you prefer the alternative.

For extension authors
- All of PopClip’s built-in actions — Cut, Copy, Paste, Search, Open Link, Reveal in Finder, Dictionary and Spelling — are now implemented as ordinary PopClip extension snippets, bundled within the app. Choose View Source on any of them to use them as a basis for your own modifications.

It is a free update for all Lifetime License holders, for Standard License holders still in their free updates period, and for people who bought PopClip from the Mac App Store on or after January 1, 2019.

After updating from any version lower than v2026.7, PopClip will revert to trial mode, with 250 uses for you to try all features. The “Upgrade…” button in the App settings pane leads to two offers: (1) 30% off a Lifetime License (free updates forever) — current offer price US$22.40 + tax, or local equivalent; or (2) a free Standard License (2 more years of updates) — nothing to pay. You can also choose not to update, and continue using your current version as-is. This is the first paid update in PopClip’s history, after 15 years of free updates.
