The printer recognises which variant it is at startup and configures itself accordingly, so no manual selection is required; the detected type is shown in Settings → Hardware. ##### The XL+ brings: - A **tool offset sensor**, replacing the pin-based calibration. It is described in its own section below. - A **Nozzle Wiper**, which physically wipes the nozzle clean before mesh bed leveling and during the tool offset calibration. Each tool's XY offset is measured by sweeping the nozzle across the sensor coils without touching them; the Z offset is then measured by touching the nozzle down.
