Welcome to Havenhythe. Found to the east of Morytania, Havenhythe is a quiet and mysterious place with a long history behind it. Once home to ancient civilisations, strange magic, and stories long forgotten, the island has mostly been left to time. Your journey begins with a vision when you visit the Rusty Anchor in Port Sarim. A warning of something stirring beyond the sea. Before long you will find yourself setting sail to see what is really waiting there. Havenhythe marks the beginning of a brand new story that will unfold across the year. It's also a chance for us to lean back into something that sits right at the heart of RuneScape. Exploration, strange characters, smaller grounded adventures, and plenty of things for players to discover for themselves. If you prefer to go in and explore by yourself with as little information as possible, stop here and jump into the game. If you're keen to see what you can expect, read on! ##### **What’s Included in Havenhythe Part 1** If you’re looking for the specifics, here’s a quick breakdown of what’s included in this release: ##### **Quests** - _Visions of Havenhythe_ (Intro quest, F2P, no requirements) - _Hearts of Sanguine_ (continues the story, F2P) - _Wiz Kid_ (standalone side quest, Members) - _Hermit Permits_ (standalone side quest, Members) ##### **Hunter (now extended to 110, Members)** - New Big Game Hunter-style encounters - Black chinchompas (Level 73) - Spirit moths (from Level 15 Hunter, non-combat charm method) - Bird house training method across the island - Clockwork traps allowing multiple catches per trap - Improvements to early Hunter methods (including rabbit snares and ferrets) ##### **Additional Skilling Content (Members)** - Fish farming activity (Levels 45–84 Fishing, including Giant Crayfish at 84) - Slow Summoning training method for higher XP per pouch - Sanguine crawlers (Level 35 Slayer) with early-game vampyrism gloves - Creeping Ivy (low-level Woodcutting, more AFK-friendly) - Giant crayfish fishing (Level 82 Fishing) ##### **Combat Encounters** - Ivar, King of Bones (early boss, teaches protection prayers, F2P) - Silverquill, the Dreadhog (mid-level boss, teaches telegraphed combat, Members) For a deeper dive into mechanics, rewards and design details, [check out the full breakdown blog and dev diary.](https://secure.runescape.com/m=news/our-biggest-area-expansion-yet) Whether you are here for the story, skilling, exploration or combat, Havenhythe is built to feel like a place you return to throughout your journey. ##### **What is Havenhythe?** Havenhythe is designed to feel like a natural part of Gielinor. The goal is not to create a piece of content you complete once and move on from. Instead it's a place that becomes part of your journey through the world. Think of places like Varrock or Falador. Locations you return to again and again as your adventure continues. This first release lays the foundations for the island. Over time Havenhythe will continue to grow as more stories, activities and discoveries are added throughout the year. It's also been built with space in mind, so as RuneScape continues to evolve, Havenhythe can grow alongside it without feeling crowded or boxed in. For now, your journey begins with a small village on the coast. ##### **Welcome to Wendlewick** Your first stop in Havenhythe is Wendlewick, a small village that sits along the island’s shoreline. This is where you will meet the locals who call Havenhythe home. Among them are the village leaders Adam, Zeke and Esther, each playing a role in the community that has formed here. Wendlewick isn't just somewhere to find quests. As you explore the village and the surrounding area, you will find small tasks, characters to meet, and stories that help bring the place to life. Some of these are easy to stumble across. Others may take a little more curiosity to uncover. ##### **Exploring Havenhyt _[Truncated at 4000 characters — full notes: https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/1343400/view/499475385191237078]_
