PLAYER BEHAVIOR UPDATES - Rank Manipulation Penalties - We’ve rolled out new tools to better detect rank manipulation in VALORANT, building on systems we successfully introduced in League of Legends last year. Combined with the data we’ve gathered since adding the Rank Manipulation category in-game late last year, we will begin issuing penalties for confirmed rank manipulation. - Penalties may include account suspensions, rank reversions, and ranked reward reversions. - As part of this, players will begin to receive reporter and bystander feedback in game when a player in their matches is penalized for rank manipulation. - Our goal is to protect ranked integrity and make sure competitive progress reflects fair play. For more detail on what counts as rank manipulation and how we’re approaching enforcement, check out [this Play Fair article.](https://playvalorant.com/en-us/news/announcements/playing-fair-anti-boosting-and-other-smurfing-countermeasures) WEAPONS UPDATES Outlaw has been performing strongly and we still want it to feel powerful with its back-to-back shots, but allow for some expression and some control to warrant that power. - Outlaw - Recovery from 0.1 >>> 0.15 after first shot - Spread from 0 >>> 2.25 after first shot - Recoil from 0 >>> 4.0 after first shot BUG FIXES - Agents - Astra - Fixed an issue where Astra's ability cooldown timer could sometimes remain visible after the ability had already been used. - Clove - Fixed an issue where Clove could gain an extra charge of Ruse during the Buy Phase by purchasing and reselling ability charges. - Cypher - Fixed an issue where Cyber Cage could incorrectly block line-of-sight interactions above the ability's visual effects. - Fixed an issue where Cyber Cage's trajectory indicator would not appear when throwing the ability into locations outside of Cypher's line of sight. - Fixed an issue where Cyber Cage would sometimes fail to play an audio cue when enemies entered through the lower portion of the cage. - Fixed an issue where certain Spycam voice lines would not play correctly during specific actions. - Deadlock - Fixed an issue where GravNet's third-person visual effects could disappear after a player disconnected and reconnected to the match. - Gekko - Fixed an issue where Nearsight visual effects on some controllable creatures could persist after they had been destroyed by an enemy. - Iso - Fixed an issue where Double Tap could incorrectly prevent the first instance of fall damage. - Jett - Fixed an issue where Cloudburst could be activated during Updraft and Tailwind animations when multiple abilities were bound to the same key. - Fixed an inconsistency where Jett could not pick up the Spike or weapons during Tailwind. - KAY/O - Fixed an issue where FLASH/drive was missing part of its visual effects. - Fixed an issue that could cause an animation skip when equipping FLASH/drive. - Killjoy - Fixed an issue on Split where Killjoy's Alarmbot could interact with players through certain wooden covers. - Miks - Fixed an issue where Miks could gain an extra charge of _[Truncated at 4000 characters — full notes: https://playvalorant.com/en-us/news/game-updates/valorant-patch-notes-13-01]_ ### 13.00 — VALORANT Patch Notes 13.00 - Date: 2026-06-23 - Version: 13.00 - Original notes: https://playvalorant.com/en-us/news/game-updates/valorant-patch-notes-13-00 - Permalink: https://whatsnew.fyi/product/valorant/releases/13.00 - Labels: Platforms: Windows, PlayStation, Xbox - **changed** — Cypher Trapwire windup reduced from 0.9s to 0.7s - **changed** — Killjoy Turret rate of fire increased by 50% - **changed** — Killjoy Nanoswarm duration increased from 4s to 5s - **changed** — Killjoy Alarmbot movement speed increased by 50% - **changed** — Veto Interceptor reclaim cooldown reduced from 30s to 20s - **changed** — Veto Crosscut usable area increased from 24m to 30m - **changed** — Veto Crosscut arming time after placing reduced from 1.5s to 0.75s - **changed** — Sage Healing Orb self heal-over-time increased from 50 to 100 - **changed** — Deadlock GravNet cooldown reduced from 60s to 50s - **changed** — Sova signature ability cooldown reduced from 60s to 50s - **changed** — Fade signature ability cooldown reduced from 60s to 50s - **changed** — Skye signature ability cooldown reduced from 60s to 50s - **changed** — Breach signature ability cooldown reduced from 60s to 50s - **changed** — KAY/O signature ability cooldown reduced from 60s to 50s - **changed** — Gekko ability cooldowns after reclaiming buddies reduced from 20s to 15s - **changed** — Omen Shrouded Step enemy audio updated for improved clarity - **changed** — Ranked Rating calculations adjusted to reduce the feeling of being stuck when consistently winning matches - **added** — Summit map added to Competitive and Deathmatch queues - **added** — Retake limited-time mode introduced as a 3v3 Spike mode with constant post-plant action - **added** — Inbox feature added to the client for curated non-urgent notifications including gifting updates, Premier updates, RR refunds, reporter feedback, and Act introductions Sup, gamers! There’s a lot more detail from the Devs below! So be sure to check out the full notes for more context on all the changes. Good luck on your Act 4 grind! ALL PLATFORMSAGENTS UPDATES Sentinels serve an important role in the VALORANT tactical loop by punishing attackers who ignore macro strategy and instead opt for repeated, low information 5-player site hits. We believe VALORANT is best when strategy is mixed. These changes are aimed at improving overall Sentinel power so they can better serve their purpose in keeping disrespectful attackers honest, as well as improve their kill potential when anchoring sites alone. - Cypher - Trapwire - Reduced windup from .9s to .7s. - Killjoy - Turret - Rate of fire increased by 50% - Nanoswarm - Duration increased from 4s to 5s. - Alarmbot - Movement speed increased by 50%. - Veto - Interceptor - Reclaim cooldown reduced from 30s to 20s. - Crosscut - Usable area increased from 24m to 30m. - Arming time after placing was reduced from 1.5s to .75s. - Sage - Healing Orb - Self Heal-Over-Time has increased from 50 to 100. - Deadlock - GravNet - Cooldown reduced from 60s to 50s. While we’ve appreciated that gunplay is playing a bigger role in VALORANT rounds since Patch 11.08, we feel there is room to give Initiators more strategic agency by playing around their cooldowns in late-round scenarios. These changes aim to strike a balance between the old cooldowns and the changes from Patch 11.08 late last year. - Initiator Cooldowns - The signature ability cooldown of Sova, Fade, Skye, Breach, KAY/0 have been reduced from 60s to 50s. - Gekko’s ability cooldowns after reclaiming his buddies has been reduced from 20s to 15s. While the gameplay and thematic elements of Omen’s Shrouded Step generally align with our design intention, cases where Omen teleports past or behind enemies during chaotic VALORANT rounds undetected because they simply could not parse the audio violates our gameplay clarity standards. This change is small, but should make Omen’s more obvious casts of this ability easier to hear. - Omen - Shrouded Step - We’ve updated enemy Omen Shrouded Step audio with the goal of improving clarity in situations where you are within range of the ability but are unable to hear it. - Agent VO Updates - We're making small updates to various Agents voice lines and critical gameplay audio tells in order to reduce audio clutter and standardize Agent ability VO across our roster. - New Sage and Viper voice lines interactions for the new map, Summit. - New conversation lines between Miks & Gekko, and Jett & Phoenix. - We’re also using this opportunity to remove a handful of lines that no longer meet our quality standards as they relate to agent behavior. The affected Agents are Killjoy, Jett, Reyna, Skye, Astra, Clove, Chamber, Neon, Deadlock, Vyse, Breach, Viper, Omen, Sova, Yoru, Fade, Iso, Tejo and Harbor. CLIENT UPDATES - Inbox is now live in the VALORANT client, giving you one place to revisit curated, non-urgent notifications. You can see which messages are new or read, delete individual items to keep things tidy, and expect more notifications over time _[Truncated at 4000 characters — full notes: https://playvalorant.com/en-us/news/game-updates/valorant-patch-notes-13-00]_ ### 12.11 — VALORANT Patch Notes 12.11 - Date: 2026-06-09 - Version: 12.11 - Original notes: https://playvalorant.com/en-us/news/game-updates/valorant-patch-notes-12-11 - Permalink: https://whatsnew.fyi/product/valorant/releases/12.11 - Labels: Platforms: Windows, PlayStation, Xbox - **added** — Launch My VALORANT Card site for creating personalized cards, sharing on socials, and finding new players - **fixed** — Fix bug where agents would frequently repeat the spike pick up line when dropped on the zipline in Fracture - **fixed** — Fix bug where Skye, Neon, and Fade's HUD VFX would sometimes appear shifted into the middle of the screen in left-handed mode - **fixed** — Fix bug where Miks was getting assists for healing uninjured allies with M-Pulse - **fixed** — Fix bug where Viper's Pit was getting stuck unable to expand in specific spots - **fixed** — Fix bug where Sage's Healing Orb was not usable during the buy phase - **fixed** — Fix bug where Miks' M-Pulse could not be toggled after quickly swapping between abilities - **fixed** — Fix bug where Clove's Not Dead Yet first person and third person SFX were not playing when the ability was available and when the ability timed out - **fixed** — Fix issue where Raze's Blast Pack wasn't dealing damage to destructible enemy abilities - **fixed** — Fix issue where Gekko's reclaimable ability globules would disappear after using Thrash - **fixed** — Fix bug on Breeze that allowed multiple Agent abilities to lock onto enemies out of sight behind the large boxes on A Main - **fixed** — Fix overlap issue on buy button prompts in Arabic while previewing bundles - **changed** — Change V26A3 Contender and Invite Division playoff schedule to take place across multiple days with first round on June 20 and advancing teams returning on June 21 - **fixed** — Fix bug where Premier team tags would not show up in the Buy menu during pre-round phase - **added** — Add clearer error messaging during the Create Team flow when a name and tag is already taken - **changed** — Increase Judge minimum spread from 2.25 to 2.5 on console - **fixed** — Fix issue where you couldn't see the Cypher camera model when placing the ability - **deprecated** — This is the last patch of Act 3 Hi, friends! Drum roll please…🥁🥁🥁 it’s the moment you’ve been waiting for. Neon and shotgun nerfs have arrived. We’re making changes to her mobility in the air and giving her a greater resource tradeoff on High Gear. We’ve also made all shotguns less accurate while moving and shooting. Read on below for more! ALL PLATFORMSAGENT UPDATES Neon has been on our radar for a while now, and we’ve been working through changes to address the amount of impact she can have in games. This is related to a more complex pacing and strategy problem with multiple elements to solve (strong Duelists and shotguns, weak Sentinels, higher Initiator signature cooldowns), but for the time being we are going to release Neon and shotgun changes first to more quickly correct the balance of combat. Her current role in breaking timings and creating pressure is correct, but her movement and evasiveness are pushing too far into combat space. We want to encourage Neon players to be intentional and make more meaningful decisions while playing her, so we’re making changes to her mobility in the air and giving her a greater resource tradeoff on High Gear. This should also allow opponents to have more opportunities for counterplay, as well as shave some additionally generously-tuned snowballing potential. For a deeper dive on all the upcoming changes and why, you can read more about it <[here](https://x.com/penguinVALORANT/status/2052441871889371353)>. Neon - High Gear - Jumping with High Gear active no longer provides any speed bonus while Neon is airborne. Instead, Neon’s air speed while sprinting will match melee speed. - Fuel will only regenerate with a kill when Neon's ultimate is active - Fuel will still regenerate passively - Improved VFX to more clearly communicate the direction and origin of her slide COMPETITIVE UPDATES - We’re testing MMR changes for modes other than Competitive, Unrated, and Swiftplay. These changes should result in better, more consistent matches. We’ll use what we learn to improve Competitive, Unrated, and Swiftplay in the future. BUG FIXES - Agents - Chamber - Fixed a bug where ADS-ing while firing Chamber’s Headhunter created an animation that covers too much of the screen - Jett - Fixed a visual bug where Jett's Tailwind was not playing the intended first-person animations when left-handed setting is enabled - Fixed a bug where using Jett's Drift caused performance drops - Miks - Updated tooltip description of Harmonize. - Fixed bug where the preview cone for his ultimate would not show unless the ability was fully equipped - Sage - Fixed an issue where a full health Sage could use Healing Orb on herself while affected by Decay, because she is not actually losing any health. This would consume the ability needlessly, since her health returns to normal once Decay wears off. - Tejo - Fixed issue where the Guided Salvo’s equip idle sound kept playing long after cast. - Viper - Fixed a bug where Sova's Recon Bolt and Chamber's Trademark were not affected by nearsightedness in Viper's Pit - Vyse - Fixed a bug where possessable drones (Sova's Owl Drone, Skye's Trailblazer, Tejo's Stealth Drone) would trigger the arming audio of Vyse's wall PLAYER BEHAVIOR UPDATES We've improved our Riot Text Evaluation system to better detect and apply penalties for text comms abuse in the following languages: Arabic, German, English, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Turkish, Chinese. WEAPONS UPDATES Alongside the Neon changes above, we are also changing the effectiveness of shotguns when moving and jumping to encourage players to use them defensively. Shotguns are intended to be most effective for holding tight angles and clearing close range spaces, but right now they’re a bit too effective in high-mobility situations. To reinforce their ideal usage, we are reducing shotgun accuracy while moving. This should make them more impactful when used deliberately and defensively, versus being aggressive on the move. Welcome to Patch 12.06. I’m Kenny and I’ll be your guide through what is sure to be a preeeeetty spicy 🌶️ patch. So let’s jump right into it. TL;DR: - VALORANT will no longer be a first-person shooter as we have switched to third-person POV. - To better support this playstyle, we have added the ability to go into a prone stance and filled most of our maps with tall grass and shrubs. - New Weapon: Introducing the Hackerator, a powerful new sniper rifle that will automatically cause enemies who are hit with a headshot to disconnect from the game. - Lol, diffed - New Agent: Welcome, Brainrot, our newest Initiator. Brainrot uses his abilities through voice commands in team chat. The more vocal you are, the more likely you are to apply stacks of Cringe. - New Debuff: Cringe. After being affected by more than three stacks of Cringe, enemies die instantly. But be careful, if you miss more than three of his abilities, YOU die instantly of self-inflicted Cringe. - Tejo Rework: With the recently discovered Tejo exploit, we decided to take another look at his kit. Ultimately, we loved the skill expression that comes with an endless barrage of artillery. So we’ve given him unlimited charges of Guided Salvo and removed the max cast distance. Have fun! Ok, so obviously those changes aren’t real. HAPPY EARLY APRIL FOOLS! For the real changes, read below! - Updated End-of Game screens - Waylay’s Saturate changed from INSTANT to EQUIP - Backend tech improvements to Viper’s ultimate - Additional UX/UI bug fixes - And more! GL HF GGs, gamers. ALL PLATFORMS GENERAL UPDATES - We’ve updated Victory, Defeat and Draw end-of-game visuals and sound effects. AGENT UPDATES While we’re happy that Waylay’s found her role in team compositions, we’ve noticed that Saturate creates situations with little to no counterplay when used with the rest of her kit. In particular, we’re seeing Waylay combo her abilities to safely target players with Saturate for her teammates with almost no risk. We think Duelists play best when they are using their kit with some risk, and when that risk falls primarily on the Duelist themselves. By changing Waylay’s Saturate from an INSTANT cast ability to an EQUIP, she can no longer Hinder enemies instantly while airborne or reactively on contact without greater risk to herself. This incentivizes Waylay to coordinate with her team to mitigate risk for herself, rather than using it as a setup piece for a teammate to capitalize on. - Waylay - Saturate changed from INSTANT to EQUIP. We're making some changes to the backend tech for Viper's Pit. While most players likely won't notice a big change, we're hoping it gives Viper's Pit more consistent behavior and removes any possibility for failure to cast, especially on certain sections of some maps. You’ll see some examples of that improvement in places like Haven A Tower or Icebox A Pipes. - Viper - Viper’s Pit chemical cloud has been updated to be more consistent in the way it spreads around map geometry. - Yoru - Added new voice lines COSMETICS UPDATES Since the launch of Flex over a year ago, we’ve gotten a lot of player feedback that while Flex are cool, it doesn’t feel optimal to use them because they use Ability movespeed rather than Melee movespeed (Ability Movespeed is 90% of Melee movespeed). Specifically, we've gotten feedback that players are less likely to equip Flex because they're afraid of accidentally equipping them mid-round due to a misclick, thus nerfing their movespeed during a critical moment. After lots of testing, we’re ready to roll out this change with some guardrails (namely, make sure that all Flex follow all competitive integrity guidelines in 3rd person). - Flex movespeed is being increased to match Melee movespeed. This will apply to all past and future Flex. - Big thanks to all of you for feedback and special shoutout to Grim, Ethos, Tokibbi, Ellum, Joshiwashi, and LakiEats for sharing their feedback with us personally! Kenny, here. We’ve got a bunch of pretty sweet updates to share today with the start of Act 2, including welcoming VALORANT’s newest Agent from Croatia, Miks! Also, the Live Balance team wanted to drop a bit of extra context around some of the changes, so be sure to read the italicized sections for more info from the Dev team! Here’s what’s changing: TL;DR: - Assist Banners have been added to the HUD to celebrate when you get an assist. - Your Killfeed has also been updated to more clearly illustrate assists and assisting abilities. - Status Effect Tags on the HUD have been updated for clarity. - Bok, Miks! Say hello VALORANT’s newest Controller! - Ally targeting UX/UI has been updated on Sage to match Miks’s targeting experience. - Sage also got a model update to reflect her current state in VALORANT’s story. - Yoru, Clove, and Skye have all received balance updates. Breach got new voice lines. - The Competitive Map Pool has been updated, and Lotus received some changes to A-site. - Knockout is the new Limited Time Mode. AROS and Skirmish: 2v2 are leaving the queue. GL HF GGs, gamers. ALL PLATFORMS GENERAL UPDATES For 12.05, we’ll be putting our focus on supporting coordinated teamplay and increasing pick diversity across the board. While we do think individual skill really shines when it comes to your gunplay and execution, we still think strategy is best formed as a team and using Agents to work together. So the Agent updates below are intended to take a little bit of power away from a couple Agents who are a bit too selfish and strong on their own (like Clove and Yoru). Plus, we’re adding Miks to the roster, who’s basically the ultimate wingman for his team. Well, aside from Wingman of course. We’re also making some QoL updates to the killfeed to better show assisting abilities and Agents involved in kills, adding assist banners to the bottom of your screen so you can more easily tell when you secured an assist, and improving ally targeting for abilities like Sage’s Healing Orb and Miks’s Harmonize. All for the sake of recognizing and encouraging good examples of teamplay. AGENT UPDATES Straight from Croatia, Miks takes the stage channeling pure sound energy. With his infectious passion and sonic powers, he rallies his squad to move as one as they set the tempo on the battlefield together. Our newest Controller will start rolling out to all regions at 10:00AM PST on 3/18. - Miks - Abilities: - Harmonize - EQUIP Harmonize. Target an ally and FIRE to activate a Combat Stim on yourself and the ally that refreshes with each kill. ALT-FIRE to grant Combat Stim to yourself. - M-pulse - EQUIP M-pulse. ALT-FIRE to toggle between Concuss and Healing outputs. FIRE to throw the device. Upon landing, M-pulse sends out sound waves, either Concussing or Healing players. - Waveform - EQUIP a Map Targeter. FIRE to set locations. ALT-FIRE to spawn Smokes at selected locations. - Bassquake - EQUIP Bassquake. FIRE to build up and unleash Sonic Radiance forward, knocking back, Deafening, and Slowing players. - You can also learn more about Miks on his Agent page, as well as his gameplay trailer and [Dev Diary](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=--w5dKba3uI) on our YouTube channel. - Sage - Healing Orb - Ally Targeting - With the release of Miks, we have updated our Ally Targeting UI/UX and brought those updates to Sage. You’ll see a new widget above the targeted allies head, and an additional highlight around the agent's model. BEFORE AFTER - Crystal Model Update - We’ve added crystal growths to Sage’s model and key art to show the price she is paying for repeatedly pushing the limits of her power. With the change to initiator utility cooldowns at the end of last year, we started reevaluating the removal of Guiding’s Light recharge. At 45s, there was little downside to using this ability right at round start for soft scouting - and we wanted her to be more intentional and deliberate in utility usage.
