Developer's Note
We found an issue where some environmental elements like leaves, walls, visual effects, etc. in certain maps would appear abnormally when playing the game with the MXAO post-processing feature enabled. This issue has been identified as a conflict in how screen depth is recognized in environments with many translucent elements, such as leaves. As there were many affected maps, this issue was difficult to fix all at once. As a result, we need more time to find an effective solution.
We apologize for the inconvenience. Until the fixes are complete, we recommend disabling the MXAO High-Quality Calculations option temporarily in maps where you are experiencing gameplay issues.
Audio
-
A mute feature has been added to Sound Effects and Background Music.
-
Background Playback Settings have been added, where you can set whether audio plays in environments where the screen is out-of-focus or minimized.
-

-
Settings for Voice Chat have been removed.
-
Key Bindings for Voice Chat within Controls have also been removed.
-
Certain pop-up UI have been updated to match the Option Window revamp.
■ Photo Mode
-
The Screenshot Mode that was available in the Menu (T) has been revamped to be a Photo Mode.
-
In Photo Mode, you can adjust a variety of camera options like tilt, field of view (FOV), screen frame, character's point of view, emotes, and more.
-
You can create the visuals that you want using settings in Photo Mode like Slow Mode, Character Display Criteria, Hide Effects, and more.
-
Certain options like Slow Mode and Character Display Criteria may only be used in town.
-
Your camera options can be saved as presets and loaded when needed.
-
Screenshots taken in Photo Mode will be saved separately in the PhotoMode folder within the Vindictus screenshots folder.
-
The Photo Mode's capture shortcut uses the Screenshot shortcut from Key Bindings.
-
You cannot use Photo Mode while you're using the Display Stand.

You cannot use the Photo Mode's post-processing UI in DirectX 9 environments.

Developer's Note
Certain strong attack skills that consume resources like cooldowns or SP generated an excessive amount of aggro in comparison to the actual time (in animation frames) it took to use them. We used the frame-to-aggro ratio of Lann - Twin Swords' Active: Fury No. 7 skill as a baseline and adjusted skills that had noticeably higher ratios. Note that while Lann's Fury No. 7 was used as a reference, no changes were made to that specific skill.
This adjustment does not affect the damage output of these skills. The objective was to ease situations where aggro would accumulate rapidly and unnecessarily when using powerful skills.
-
Fixed an issue where characters capable of mobile attacks would get hit in Super Armor state while making a mobile attack and would then be unable to attack or use skills.
-
Fixed an issue where the rod-shaped object did not appear in the character's hand when performing the Firework emote as characters with certain body types.
Delia
-
Improved Active: Zenith so that it can be used while attacking.
-
Fixed an issue where the Rose's Revenge status effect would disappear even when Rising Comet and Falling Comet attacks were not successful.
-
Fixed an issue where the additional damage effect from the Vigor status effect would not apply upon using Falling Comet.
Lann
-
Fixed an issue where Active: Slashing High and Active: Berserker Spirit could not be used while moving when all Stamina was depleted.
-
Fixed an issue where the status effect would not apply to party members when using the Berserker Spirit skill.
Evie
- The texture of the character's neck area has been fixed to look more natural.
■ Content Adjustment
Hero's Path
-
Fixed an issue where the final damage adjustment effect that's applied to the first boss in Hero's Path Seasons 2 and 3 was applied as the previous season's effect.
