New Branch of Japanese Heavy Tanks

Welcome new Japanese superheavies, with the Type 5 Heavy Zetsu at the top! Well-armored and hard-hitting, they act as tough dreadnoughts, built to hold the frontline.

All tanks in this branch feature excellent armor, especially across the turret front. And if an opponent does manage to get a shot through, their large HP pools let them absorb a fair amount of damage. These giants can also hit back hard, dishing out heavy blows to anyone who dares get too close.

But that power comes at a price. The new superheavies have low mobility, so choosing the right flank from the start is vital: changing it later may simply take too much time. Their large size also calls for careful use of cover. To survive longer, avoid open spaces and use terrain and buildings to keep your hull protected.

Hold the front and lead your team to victory!

Tank Branch License

After the update, you can use your Tank Branch License (previously called Set License) to unlock any researchable branch, from Tier I all the way to the Tier X! All vehicles along your selected path will be instantly unlocked and fully researched, without spending any of your Credits or XP.

Don't want to use it yet? No problem, a License has no expiration date. Just save it until the right time comes.

Equalizer Game Mode

Similar to Total Domination mode, Equalizer brings tanks of all tiers together on the same battlefield, with lower-tier tanks getting more HP and firepower. The lower the tier, the bigger the boost! Just pick your favorite tank and take on enemies of any tier in familiar Supremacy and Encounter battles.

The mode will be available from September 11 through 18.

Observation Device Changes

If your observation device is damaged during battle, your viewing distance will now decrease depending on its condition. Yellow damage reduces it by 50%, while red damage reduces it to 30%. This makes the module damage system more consistent.

This update brings a range of small yet meaningful improvements aimed at making everyday gameplay smoother.

Rearranged Spawn Points

Spawn points have been repositioned across all maps, creating fairer and more balanced starting conditions for both teams.

More Useful Information

Now you can find information about shell velocity on the Upgrades and Ammo screens for each shell type.

Fewer Clicks

Premium and Collector vehicles now start at first Rank right away. There is no need to open the Ranks screen and manually claim a Rank when getting a new tank.

New Loading Screens

All maps now feature updated loading screen pictures. Before rolling into battle, take a moment to admire the view!

Balance Changes

Together with the community, we've improved the characteristics of several Tier VIII and IX vehicles, as well as selected equipment. For details on the changes, check the news article on the website.

New Matchmaking Rules

We know how important fair team composition is—especially at higher tiers. That's why we're starting to test two new rules for regular battles with Tier IX and X tanks.

1. Restriction on vehicles with magazine-based guns

Each team will now be limited to a maximum of three such vehicles. This includes vehicles equipped with all types of magazine-based guns, except standard cyclic guns—namely, classic drum guns, autoreloaders, reserve shell guns, and "machine guns."

To avoid longer matchmaking times, this rule may be temporarily disabled if there are too many magazine-equipped vehicles in the queue.

2. Heavy Tank Symmetry

To ensure more evenly matched teams, the number of higher-tier heavy tanks will be the same on both sides. If one team receives an additional heavy tank, it will always be of a lower tier among HT.

As of the update, this rule will only be active on the European server. If the test results are positive, we'll roll it out in other regions.

We'll continue monitoring the matchmaker's performance and adjust it as needed. Don't forget to share your feedback on social media!

Total Domination Mode

In this fun new mode, vehicles of all tiers—from the humble MS-1 to the fearsome Maus—clash on a single battlefield! But don't underestimate lower-tier vehicles: every machine receives a powerful stat boost in battle to match Tier X vehicle performance.

So, how do you win? Capture and hold bases! Sounds simple—but there's a twist. Bases constantly change locations, and enemies never run out, thanks to endless respawns.

Jump into Total Domination mode starting April 17 and lead your team to victory!

New Minimap Feature

When an enemy disappears from view, their last known position will remain visible on the minimap for a short time. This will help you navigate the battlefield better and make more informed tactical decisions!

Improved Maps: Falls Creek and Oasis Palms

Gameplay on Falls Creek largely revolves around controlling the bridge. To make battles in this area more dynamic for heavy and medium tanks, we've adjusted the terrain and vegetation.

On Oasis Palms, we've reworked several key areas to revitalize gameplay in both the city and the dunes. We've reduced the excessive influence of tank destroyers in the medium tank zone and introduced new positions around the city to better involve TDs in heavy tank gameplay on their side of the map.

Balance Improvements

Five tanks have advanced from Tier VIII to Tier IX: the T-34-3, 59-Patton, Vickers MBT Mk. 3, VK 168.01 (P), and Somua SM. And the HWK 12 has received an additional set of consumables and provisions. New sounds

New sound effects have been added for vehicles with magazine-based guns, making it easier to tell when ammunition is running low and it's time to pull back and reload.

Classic drums and "machine guns": A muffled click now plays on the last shot.

Guns with a reserve shell mechanic: A sharp click now plays on the second-to-last shot.

Upgraded Interface

In this update, we're introducing several small but important changes. They will simplify everyday activities in the game and make it more comfortable to play.

Statistics have become more detailed

Track your win rate not only for your entire account history, but also for the last 30, 90, and 365 days. You can find these stats in your profile and in other players' profiles.

Controller settings are now more convenient

You can now freely rearrange almost all game controls on the screen, adjust their size, and even overlap them.

Navigation between screens is now more seamless

Even after a tank is fully upgraded, the Upgrade screen will remain accessible in the Garage between the Rank and Camouflage screens.

We've reduced unnecessary clicks

Just like in the Feed section, you can now mark items in your Storage and avatars as viewed with a single click.

Tank information is now more accessible

We've added quick access to the BlitzKit portal, which features helpful game info and vehicle statistics. You can find links to it on the Upgrade screen and in the Community tab.

Balance Improvements

We've balanced the characteristics of over 10 tanks. Among them are the Kanonenjagdpanzer, T-2020, Tornvagn, and TS-60, which have been moved to a higher tier and received additional buffs. Check out the website for a separate news article with all the details.

Gun Marks

Gun Marks are now available for Tier VII vehicles. A new design has also been introduced for Hybrid Nation tanks:

• A duck in a helmet for Wasteland tanks. This was the top-voted choice in our Discord contest!

• The Hybrid Nation Emblem for all other tanks of this nation.

For the First Time Ever—Hybrid Nation Researchable Tanks!

Until now, the Hybrid Nation lineup was made up entirely of Collector and Premium vehicles. But now it's a full-on Tech Tree—so far just one branch, but wow, what a branch!

The new branch returns to Blitz's roots: charge forward, break through, bounce shells, and just have pure fun. That's exactly what it was made for!

Festive Town Event

For the winter holidays, the Garage will be transformed and filled with a magical atmosphere. You'll find there a Town Square, Yuletide Stall, and Shooting Gallery. And of course, a Christmas tree—the holiday wouldn't feel complete without one! Decorate it and collect rewards all around the Town!

The name says it all—log in to the game every day until December 25 to claim some sweet bonuses!

Balance Changes

Tier X tanks will play differently: we've rebalanced vehicles that were too powerful and boosted the characteristics of the less popular ones. We've also reduced burst damage for certain tanks, adjusted shell types and speeds, and updated view ranges. Find all the details on our website.

Gun Marks

You can now earn Gun Marks on Tier VIII vehicles. Check out our special news article on the website to see exactly how the Gun Marks work.

And to make it easier to find the tank you're looking for, we've added a new carousel sorting option—by Gun Marks!

Gun Marks

Your achievements will now be clear for everyone to see right on your tank. Every fighter will know that they are playing with a real pro! Show your skills in battles and earn Marks—indicators of your excellence with particular vehicles.

Players with at least 5,000 battles logged are eligible to receive Gun Marks.

How does it work? Fight random battles in Tier IX–X tanks! Average Gun Mark XP is calculated based on your last 50 battles in each tank. It counts only XP without multipliers, team damage bonus, and victory bonus. To get a Gun Mark, you'll need to be a top player by average Gun Mark XP:

• Top 35% of players—1 Gun Mark

• Top 15% of players—2 Gun Marks

• Top 5% of players—3 Gun Marks

Future updates will bring Gun Marks to vehicles of other tiers, too.

Gun Marks are designed differently for every nation. They are displayed in the Garage, in battle, and on the Battle Results screen for all players, and your allies will see them on the loading screen as well.

Classic versions of Falls Creek, Middleburg, and Oasis Palms are temporarily back, too. You'll be able to fight on both old and new versions of these maps.
