Fallout 4 - November Patch Now Available

Thank you for your continued communication with us on your current Fallout 4 experience. The team is focused on DLC installation issues, occasional crashing, and general user experience in Patch 1, and of course, continued preparation for mod storage expansion for consoles. While we initially hoped to release the storage expansion in our November patch, we will need a little extra time to roll out this heavily requested feature from the community.

We'll share more details on the December Patch 2 in the coming weeks. In the meantime, to help prepare for mod storage expansion, console players may want to ensure their mod load order is protected. Please see the following steps to help preserve your mod load orders as a console player.

We’re also excited to share "The Varmint Rifle", the first of several free Fallout 4 Creations coming to players, will be available next week! Fall down a manhole, discover a unique rifle, solve an elaborate set of puzzles, but in true wasteland fashion, you're not the only thing trapped down here.

Fallout 4 - November 17th Hotfix

Today’s Fallout 4 hotfix addresses the following:

  • Resolved an issue preventing users from enabling Creations that rely on DLC.

  • Improved stability in the Creation menu, particularly on PS4/XB1.

  • Identified an issue causing DLC to become uninstalled on PlayStation. For players still experiencing this issue, we recommend the following: Please enable any of your Creations after your DLC is completely installed.

We’re continuing to collect everyone’s feedback and encountered issues, so if you’ve submitted a ticket with our support team or provided details to our team in Discord, thank you. It’s been extremely helpful.

For next steps, the team is focused on additional fixes in our first November Patch. We’ll share those details as soon as we can.

Fallout 4 Upcoming Hotfixes and Creation Storage Increase

We’re actively investigating issues you’re encountering with the latest Fallout 4 update and Anniversary Edition launch. You should now see faster load times of the Creations menu, game menu, and redemption of Creation Club items. We plan to publish a hot fix early next week to address the following:

  • Hot Fix: Fixing stability problems particularly on XB1/PS4.

  • Hot Fix: Fixing an issue causing creations that rely on DLC to not work.

  • Hot Fix: Fixing an issue causing DLCs to become uninstalled after updating the game on PlayStation.

The hotfix will be followed by two patches. The first patch will be the week of Nov 24th, and the second, in the first half of December. We’ll provide an overview of these patches soon. Thank you for your continued updates and support tickets, it’s helped us to pinpoint issues. We’ll work to address these as quick as we can.

Notably, in the November patch, Xbox Series X/S players will see Creations local storage limit increased substantially. Growable up to 100GB to match your needs. We are also looking into increasing storage on PlayStation.

Fallout 4 - Creations Menu Update - November 10th

This coming week brings both the launch of the Fallout 4 Anniversary Edition and the launch of Fallout 4 Creations! As we prepare for these launches, please note that Fallout 4 mods will undergo maintenance from November 6th through 10th. During this time, Fallout 4 Mods and Creation Club will be offline. And while you won't be able to download or upload any new content, you will still have access to change your mod load order and play the game.

The Fallout 4 update on November 10th will require adjustments to the main menu screen. So, prior to November 10th, please disable any mods which change the main menu, as these may break with the patch. Thank you for your patience as we work to roll these changes out and lay the groundwork for things like additional storage for Creations. Please keep an eye out on Bethesda Support** **and the official Bethesda Game Studios Discord for additional info.

Fallout 4 – Next Gen Update 2 Notes

Update Versions
  • PC 1.10.984
Patch Highlights

**Xbox Series S|X and PlayStation 5 Display Settings ** Thanks to your feedback, we’ve been able to implement the ability to control your graphic fidelity and performance. We highly recommend you run with the default settings but now you can change your options to better fit your playstyle and display.

**Frame Rate Target ** Frame Rate Target allows you to choose between 30, 40, and 60 (default). It is important to note that to select 40, your display must be able to support 120hz.

Visual and Performance Prioritization You can now choose between Visuals and Performance (default) while trying to maintain frame rate target. If you choose Frame Rate Target of 60, we recommend selecting Performance. Both modes may adjust internal resolution dynamically when scenes or action get heavier.

Bethesda.net Mods Update: Comment Moderation Tools for Mod Authors

  • Delete specific or all comments on your mods.

This should give modders greater ability to manage their content. We’ve improved the backend moderation tools as well, allowing us to better handle reported problems. Let us know what you think of these improvements. We’re also always interested in further suggestions to improve the Mods platform, and better empower modders.

Additionally, over the next few weeks we will be migrating some data related to Ratings and Followers. You may see rating numbers fluctuate a bit, but they should catch up. Ratings will now use a new, weighted average system for sorting by ‘Highest Rated’ – this has taken immediate effect with the ‘All Time’ filter. ‘Weekly’ and ‘Monthly’ will eventually update to the new ratings system, as well.
