  • Lowered the Floor 4 entry requirement to Level 77, down from 82.
  • Lowered the Floor 5 entry requirement to Level 87, down from 92.

Colossal Wyrm Agility course

  • Increased the duration of the Colossal Wyrm Agility course:

  • The basic course by ~25%.

  • The advanced course by ~40%.

  • Level 52 - Added stepping stones across the River Lum, just south of the Champion's Guild.

  • Lowered the Floor 5 entry requirement to Level 87, down from 92.

New Agility Shortcuts

We’ve added a series of Agility shortcuts across Gielinor to improve general traversal, save time on Treasure Trail steps, or simply provide a more intuitive route where it makes sense!

Level 49

There is now a small gap in the west side of the Draynor Manor fence that you can pass through.

Level 52

We've added stepping stones across the River Lum, just south of the Champion's Guild.

Level 54

You can now use the new shortcut on the south-west side of Giant's Plateau to climb up and down, providing easy access to and from the desert.

Level 60

We've added a pipe at the southern edge of Edgeville Dungeon, cutting down on travel time if you've lost your Brass key.

Levels 52 & 62

This new shortcut at the central area of the middle and top floor (requiring 52 and 62 Agility respectively) of the Arceuus Library allows you to nimbly lower yourself down to the bottom floor, just make sure you don't slip!

Level 79

Located north of Sophanem, we've added stepping stones for those of you who need to cross the River Elid in a flash.

Level 82

Thanks to these new stepping stones at the small island north of Mos le'Harmless, your least favourite Treasure Trail step just got a whole lot better.

Level 83

We've added a shortcut west of Pollnivneach, allowing quick access from Ali the Hag's hut to the nearby plateau.

We've also updated several grapple/crossbow shortcuts so they no longer require any equipment to use. As a result, their level requirements have been increased accordingly. Keep in mind that any Achievement Diary tasks that involve a grapple shortcut will still require you to use the grapple to complete the task.

These shortcuts that can be used without relying on a grappling hook are as follows:

  • Level 8 Grapple - The broken raft in River Lum can now be used barehanded at Level 48.
  • Level 11 Grapple - The Falador rough wall can now be climbed barehanded at Level 52.
  • Level 32 Grapple - The rock-climb between Catherby and Taverly can now be used barehanded at Level 68. We've also made this a two-way shortcut.
  • Level 36 Grapple - You can now cross between the Water Obelisk island and Catherby in either direction barehanded at** **Level 72.
  • Level 39 Grapple - The Yanille rough wall can now be climbed barehanded at Level 69.
  • Level 53 Grapple - Strong trees just south of Karamja Volcano can now be used barehanded at Level 78.

Additional Agility improvements:

  • Slightly opened up the fence around the Clock Tower, allowing you to pass through a new gap and walk around the building.
  • Zaryte crossbow will now be recognised as suitable to use for Crossbow Agility shortcuts.
Miscellaneous Improvements
  • Knight Waves Training Ground no longer resets your progress if you leave the trial using the door.

  • Reduced Chivalry's drain rate to match Deadeye and Mystic Vigour, draining 1 point per 3 seconds.

  • Removed thrall immunity from Menaphite Akh in Beneath Cursed Sands.

  • Removed the timeout/cooldown on making parties at the Theatre of Blood.

  • Lowered the Light & Heavy Ranged Defence for Abyssal Guardians and Abyssal Walkers to 0, down from 70 and 75 respectively.

  • Lowered the Crush Defence for Abyssal Guardians to 0, down from 70.

  • You can now re-enter the Fight Caves immediately after leaving, with no cooldown.

  • Increased the drop rate of the Rune Essence Pouch:

  • From Abyssal Guardian: up to 1 in 8 from 1 in 42.

  • From Abyssal Walker: up to 1 in 5 from 1 in 42.

  • Bonfire changes:

  • Added a "Tend to" option to add more logs to a bonfire.

  • If you have one type of log in your inventory, the 'Make-X' interface will no longer appear when you use a log on an existing bonfire.

Chambers of Xeric Loot Changes

Chambers of Xeric unique weightings have been a hot topic for almost as long as the raid has existed, and this Summer Sweep-Up we'd sought to make further changes to address one of the most frequent complaints regarding the volume of purple lights that become Prayer scrolls.

As we wrapped up our initial Sweep-Up blogs, we'd said that we'd like to take a conservative approach here and adjust incrementally over time. It would be an understatement to say that this wasn't a particularly popular stance to take, so a few weeks ago we proposed more radical for adjustments to the weightings of uniques in the Chambers of Xeric. These numbers make CoX a little more in-line with other raids when it comes to how many hours the content expects you to put in. They look like big shifts and in many cases they _are _big shifts but we believe they could make for a healthier raid long-term.

The most significant shift here is Ancestral pieces, which do fetch a hefty price currently, but also serve as a huge source of frustration since ticking off the full set takes considerably longer on average than a Twisted Bow.

Realistically these numbers are a big enough shift that it's impossible to predict exactly where things might shake out now that they're implemented, but we do expect that while individual item prices might shift, the GP/hr of the raid shouldn't drastically reduce. These changes aim to bring regular Chambers completions more in line with other raids while also improving the value proposition offered by Challenge Mode clears compared to regular raids.

With all that said, let's take a look:

		Unique Old Weighting (Total: 69) New Regular Weighting (Total: 60) % Increase New CM Weighting (Total: 56) % Increase Ancestral Hat 3 4 +53.3 4 +64.3 Ancestral Robe Bottoms 3 4 +53.3 4 +64.3 Ancestral Robe Top 3 4 +53.3 4 +64.3 Arcane Prayer Scroll 20 14 -19.5 12 -26.1 Dextrous Prayer Scroll 20 14 -19.5 12 -26.1 Dinh's Bulwark 3 3 +15 3 +23.2 Dragon Claws 3 3 +15 3 +23.2 Dragon Hunter Crossbow 4 4 +15 4 +23.2 Elder Maul 2 2 +15 2 +23.2 Kodai Insignia 2 2 +15 2 +23.2 Twisted Bow 2 2 +15 2 +23.2 Twisted Buckler 4 4 +15 4 +23.2

In effect, this means scrolls are 20% less common in regular Chambers of Xeric, and 26% less common in Challenge Mode Chambers of Xeric, which puts it closer to how the Avernic defender hilt in terms of its relative weighting.

We'll be keeping an extremely close eye on these, but appreciate that values, prices and in-game markets around major changes can shift wildly and take some time to settle down, so we won't make any immediate tweaks unless something is miles out of line. If things aren't landing where we'd like, then we will leave further tweaks on the table and revisit these changes to bring them more in line with our aims!
