2XKO Patch Notes: 1.2.5 (July 23, 2026)

Added 2
  • Juggernaut Fuse now grants the ability to solo dash cancel any attack by spending 30% Break meter
  • When performing a low attack into a Handshake Tag, you can now parry the tagged out attack while standing and crouching
Changed 19
  • Juggernaut overall Super Meter gain increased by 25%
  • Pushblock no longer uses Break meter and now has a 4-second cooldown when using Juggernaut
  • Break gain when hitting an opponent reduced by 50% when using Juggernaut
  • Break meter gain on successful Eject reduced from 20% to 10% when using Juggernaut
  • Sidekick overall Super Meter gain increased by 15%
  • The Point champion can now move freely during Sidekick Super

In this patch, we have lots of changes for champions and some of our biggest Fuse adjustments yet. We’re excited to see how this shakes up the meta across all skill levels. As always, the game will be down starting from 9am PT when the patch drops on July 23. You can always check the status of the patch here or in the 2XKO client. Online matchmaking will become available once maintenance is complete. In the meantime, you can still play in Offline mode. To access Offline mode on console, you must disconnect from the internet before launching 2XKO. New Event: Chipotle We’re excited to partner with Chipotle again to serve up an extra-spicy event, split into two parts. Part two already started on July 21 and it lasts until August 6. Each event will have unique missions and rewards, so don’t forget to log in and check what’s new. During both events, the Casual Lobby will be decked out Chipotle-style. If you’re a resident of the United States, completing in-game missions will earn a chance to get real-life coupons to redeem at a Chipotle near you. Check here for more details. Part one had so many people participating, it took us a few weeks to process all of the rewards. Likewise for part two, please wait for up to two weeks after the event ends to receive your code. The code will be sent to the email associated with your riot account, so make sure to check your spam folders. System ChangesFusesJuggernaut Juggernaut is a powerful Fuse at intermediate and beginner levels of play, but falls off at advanced levels. We’re adding an advanced tool to Juggernaut, while reducing its overall power early in a player’s journey. Juggernaut now grants the ability to solo dash cancel any attack by spending Break meter. (This is the same as Fury dash canceling. With this change, only Juggernaut users can do this outside of Fury.) This gives Juggernaut players more interesting options for combos and pressure, and lets them fight against pushblock. Meter gain and pushblock while using Juggernaut have also been improved. To compensate for these buffs, Break meter gain while using this Fuse has been reduced. Juggernaut changes:

  • Overall Super Meter gain has been increased by 25% when using Juggernaut.
  • Pushblock no longer uses Break meter and now has a 4-second cooldown when using Juggernaut.
  • Break gain when hitting an opponent has been reduced by 50% when using Juggernaut.
  • Attacks can now be dash canceled by spending 30% Break meter when using Juggernaut.
  • This is the same as Fury dash canceling. With Juggernaut, you can now do this outside of Fury.
  • If a dash cancel was used, the subsequent combo will not grant Break meter.
  • Break meter gain on successful Eject has been reduced by 10%. It was 20% Break meter and is now 10% Break meter. Sidekick Sidekick is getting Assist improvements, because the overall power of Assists is lower without the ability to Handshake Tag. Sidekick changes:
  • Overall Super Meter gain has been increased by 15% when using Sidekick.
  • The Point champion can now move freely during Sidekick Super.
  • When an Assist is used as a combo starter, it no longer causes additional damage scaling when using Sidekick.
  • Pushblock now pushes both opposing champions when using Sidekick. Freestyle The power of two Handshake Tags has consistently dominated expert-level play. We’re nerfing Freestyle in a way that maintains its flexibility, while establishing significant trade-offs for accessing this Fuse’s power. Freestyle changes:
  • Overall Break meter gain has been reduced by 35% when using Freestyle.
  • Generating less Break meter adds additional risk to using this Fuse.
  • Hitting an Assist in Freestyle now gives the Assist a 6-second cooldown.
  • Freestyle Tag can no longer be used immediately after Break.
  • Freestyle Tag can no longer be used immediately after pushblock.
  • The Freestyle Tag window has been reduced by 20 frames. It was 80 frames and is now 60 frames.
  • While this will change combos and blockstrings, it’s necessary to reduce the overall power of the Fuse. Combos, blockstrings, and baiting Break will be less effective. Assist
  • Players can no longer Handshake Tag to Assist champions after they block an attack. This does not apply in the following situations:
  • If you perform a Pushblock or Break.
  • If you make contact with an opponent, i.e. the opponent hit/blocks your assist or your point attack.
  • Players can no longer perform a second Assist action with 2X Assist after blocking an attack.
  • When performing a low attack into a Handshake Tag, you can now parry the tagged out attack while standing and crouching. Dash
  • You must now hold forward when tapping dash or :2xko_L:+:2xko_M: to perform a dash cancel while in Fury or when using Juggernaut.
  • Getting an accidental Fury Dash Cancel when attempting to dash the first frame out of attacks was occurring too often. Now, if you are not holding forward, you cannot get a dash cancel.
  • :2xko_forward: > :2xko_forward: will now always result in a dash cancel.
  • Getup attack can no longer be dash canceled while in Fury or when using Juggernaut.
  • When performing a backdash, attacks are now buffered until the backdash ends.
  • You can no longer mask inputs inside your backdash. This includes throws or programming follow-ups to tagged out attacks.
  • Performing a throw during backdash, then inputting :2xko_M: or :2xko_H: will no longer result in a throw after the backdash animation completes. Throw Tech
  • The ending distance between champions after a throw tech has been increased.
  • While cornered, throw techs now send the non-cornered opponent farther away. They will now land closer to midscreen distance.
  • Guessing correctly on throw often led to being in stand :2xko_M: range, which favored faster champions. You will now have an adequate opportunity to fight back post-throw tech. Bug Fixes
  • Fixed an issue where opponents would occasionally be pushed backwards during the startup of Break while in the corner.
  • Fixed an issue where performing attacks into Launcher or Break caused hurtboxes to persist.
  • Fixed an issue where throws that punish rolls would sometimes throw the opponent in the wrong direction.
  • Fixed an issue where multi-hit projectiles such as Jinx :2xko_S2: Super, Senna :2xko_S1: Super, and Yasuo :2xko_S2: had altered frame data when parried.
  • Fixed an issue where mashing parry at round start would result in a :2xko_H: instead of a parry.
  • Fixed an extremely rare situation where players could Handshake Tag after being parried.
  • Juggernaut:
  • Fixed an issue where ranged Supers performed with Juggernaut would not generate Break meter.
  • Fixed a bug where Juggernaut Eject did not cost meter against Juggernaut/Sidekick players.
  • Teamfight:
  • Fixed a bug that caused players to automatically block all attacks if the opponent was KOed during Teamfight under specific conditions.
  • Fixed an issue where the Assist champion could activate Teamfight one frame faster than the Point.
  • Fixed an issue where the “Punish” notification wouldn’t pop up when punishing Teamfight activation.
  • Fixed an issue where the Teamfight graphic would stay onscreen when using save states in Training mode. Champion Adjustments Just want the high-level changes? There’s a summary at the top of each section. Dive into the details below. We entered this patch with simple goals. Nerf Ahri, Thresh, and Illaoi, improve Assist damage for high-damage champions, and make all champions more consistent. Bug Fixes
  • Hextech charge visual effects (on Vi’s charged normals, Jinx’s zap, Blitzcrank moves, etc.) now display correctly on opponents that are hit during Teamfight.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the game to crash when reloading a capture state after changing reversal settings in Training mode.
  • Fixed an issue where team comps were not remembered correctly in Ranked while queuing as a Local Duo.
  • Fixed an issue where one player adjusting their controls prevented the other players from choosing Fuses in champion select.
  • Fixed an issue in The Climb where Jinx’s “2X Rockets” augment was not properly shooting 2X rockets as an Assist.
  • Fixed an issue in The Climb that was causing a high number of disconnects and crashes. Known Issues
  • Backdashing by inputting :2xko_back:+:2xko_L:+:2xko_M:, then trying to forward dash by inputting neutral :2xko_L:+:2xko_M: will result in a second backdash, instead of the intended forward dash. You can avoid this issue by using the dash macro, or holding :2xko_forward: while inputting any dash. • Successfully parrying a Teamfighting champion now immediately ends Teamfight

Welcome to patch 1.2.3, our largest update yet. We’ve got a brand new PVE mode, two champions, and a ton of amazing new skins. Also, Evo 2026 kicks off in just a few weeks, and we’ll get to see some of the best players in the world compete in the biggest 2XKO tournament yet. Now is the time to grab your friend and jump in! As always, the game will be down starting from 9am PT when the patch drops on June 9. You can always check the status of the patch here or in the 2XKO client. Online matchmaking will become available once maintenance is complete. In the meantime, you can still play in Offline mode. To access Offline mode on console, you must disconnect from the internet before launching 2XKO. New ContentNew Champion: Senna, The Redeemer A champion of the light cursed by darkness, Senna blasts foes with her vaunted relic cannon before rushing them down as a shadowy wraith. With two forms to choose from, she’s highly capable of redeeming any corrupted soul. She’ll bring her Sentinel training to 2XKO on June 9. Watch Senna’s move list video and gameplay trailer to see how she plays. New Champion: Thresh, The Chain Warden Wicked and cunning, Thresh is a malevolent specter that delights in tormenting opponents, imprisoning their souls in his lantern for all eternity. He uses his chain to attack from tricky and unexpected angles, while his lantern lets him teleport and summon jailed souls for aid. His evil schemes begin on June 9 in 2XKO. Watch Thresh’s move list video and gameplay trailer to see how he plays Both Senna and Thresh can be purchased immediately with 1,000 KO Points or one Champion Token. You can also unlock them for free through their shared Champion Recruitment Event, which lasts for four weeks. After four weeks have passed, Senna and Thresh will become purchasable for 10,000 Credits.. Since two characters are being unlocked at once, this will take approximately 50% longer than a normal Recruitment Event. If you want to get a sense of how a new champion plays before you unlock them, all champions are available to everyone in Training and Offline mode, even if they haven’t been purchased. PVE Mode: The Climb The Climb is our new PVE mode that you can tackle with a friend. Fight NPCs in random encounters, and win to unlock augments that change how you play. Augments can be both wacky and powerful—what will you try to build? Complete The Climb-specific missions to get special rewards, including base chromas, avatar items, and stickers. Check out more PVE details in this article. New Event: Pool Party It’s a hot girl summer, so dust off those inflatables and grab a drink. The Pool Party starts in Casual Lobbies worldwide from June 30 until July 20 . Dive in with special event missions and exciting rewards. Plus, don’t miss splashy new skins in the store. New Event: Chipotle We’re excited to partner with Chipotle again to serve up an extra-spicy event, split into two parts. Part one is happening June 16-28, and part two lasts from July 21 to August 6. More details to come in another article, dropping the day part one goes live. New Stages Three new stages have been added in the latest update: Kiramman Yacht Kiramman Yacht (After Dark) Abandoned Armory Core Gameplay Changes We’ve already communicated this, but our main core gameplay goal is to remove some edges from Teamfight, newly introduced in the last patch. (Yes, we know Freestyle is incredibly strong as well—we’re honing in on some targeted adjustments to that Fuse, which will land in our next patch.) Teamfight Adjustments In its current form, Teamfight allows for explosive offense, but counterplay is high risk with little reward. In high-level matches, having a second body to hop in and parry or block to prevent Break activation is too oppressive, and doesn’t line up with the Fuse’s intended identity. To increase the decisionmaking around Teamfight, we're changing how it interacts with meter and adding more options for defending against it. Teamfight enthusiasts will need to work a little harder to tap into its maximum potential. Offensive adjustments Teamfight can now spend up to 6 bars of meter when used. (Up to 3 per champion.) Teamfight duration now depends on the number of meter bars spent to activate it.

  • 2 bar: 5 seconds
  • 4 bars: 10 seconds
  • 6 bars: 15 seconds
  • Meter cost is still paid by both the Assist and Point champs. If one champion has 3 bars and another has 1, Teamfight will only use 2 bars total—1 from each champion.
  • Teamfight will always activate at the highest level possible. If you have the meter, there’s no way to choose a lower activation level. Teamfight now has 12 frames of recovery, up from 5 frames.
  • Performing a Teamfight into parry was too strong as a defensive option.
  • 12 frames of recovery when performing Teamfight keeps combos intact, but severely reduces the viability of using it defensively. Defensive options Teamfighting champions can no longer block or parry an opponent’s Break activation.
  • Performing Teamfight then having the Assist block was creating unexciting play patterns with little counterplay. Note: this change applies to both the Point and Assist champion while teamfight is activated. Successfully parrying a Teamfighting champion now immediately ends Teamfight.
  • Parrying in 2X is already a high risk high reward option, and parrying a Teamfighting champion previously did not lead to a significant advantage for the defender and was incredibly risky. Hitting a Teamfighting champion now applies 2.5x more Teamfight duration reduction.
  • Successfully attacking an opponent’s Teamfight will now disable it significantly faster. Other Core Gameplay Adjustments Jump input priority
  • Input priority changed on jumps. If a diagonal is pressed prior to a jump, that direction is prioritized over up.
  • Note: Akali’s double-jump is different and is unaffected by this change. We’re still investigating the behavior for that particular jump. Break adjustments
  • Break Bonus generation will reset if Fury expires while being combo’d by an opponent.
  • It was possible to immediately regain Fury if it expired while getting hit with a long combo. This no longer occurs. Infinite block stun protection
  • Added infinite block stun protection while blocking mid-air.
  • While blocking opponents in the air, after 4 seconds of continually blocking, both attackers will be automatically pushblocked every time an additional attack makes contact.
  • This state is specifically targeted at aerial block stun infinites. It does not, for example, trigger if you block on the ground for a long time, then jump and block while airborne. Likewise, the infinite prevention system does not trigger off of standard aerial blockstrings. Match intros
  • If both players skipped intros at the start of a match, rematches will automatically skip intros. Bug fixes
  • Fixed a bug where Tag Launcher could sometimes be used twice in a sequence if the combo started with a Tag Launcher.
  • Fixed a bug where it was possible to Handshake Tag the frame a successful parry occurred.
  • Fixed an issue where hurtboxes would be slightly distorted after performing a Break mid-air. Champion Adjustments Just want the high-level changes? There’s a summary at the top of each section. Dive into the details below. This patch, we’re reducing the damage of Supers that can easily be performed multiple times in a combo without Double Down. This affects a few different champions. Ahri and Teemo are getting some more substantial game plan adjustments as well. Bug Fixes
  • Fixed an issue where spectating would sometimes display at a lower resolution than expected.
  • Fixed an issue where players who put their PlayStation 5 into Rest Mode while in Training mode would hear stage music playing in the main menu after exiting Rest Mode.
  • Fixed an issue where 2XKOs weren’t appearing when they should.
  • Fixed an issue where timing out during stage selection would occasionally cause the game to freeze.
  • Fixed an issue where the loading screen would persist and appear in the background of a match.
  • Fixed an issue where opponents would land face-up after a wall slump. Miscellaneous
  • A super shady Shadow Isles-themed stage can be seen in Thresh’s champion spotlight and reveal trailer. It’s a sneak peek! That stage will be available at a later date
  • When progressing in The Climb, the post-match progression screen has a visual bug, which will display less progression than you’ve actually gained. Your correct mission and level progress will be properly represented on other menus. Known Issues
  • There’s a known issue with Thresh’s forward dash and the frame meter. It appears to be absolutely busted, but the frame meter is lying to you.
  • Thresh can jump and block on frame 19 of his forward dash.
  • Thresh can act on frame 23 of his forward dash.
  • Attempting to challenge the Intro Bots with the lowest framerate and lowest graphical settings will cause the game to freeze. This can be circumvented by playing at medium graphical settings.
  • Thresh’s ghoul explosion gets very confused when it runs into other champion’s traps or projectiles. When it explodes on top of an opposing champion and their projectile or trap it will sometimes not hit the opponent champion.
  • If you reset in training mode while Senna is performing a Wraith Assist, it will cause a visual bug where Senna appears as a wraith but is still in her base form.
  • The Blood Moon: Sacrificial Rite finisher is still temporarily disabled due to a bug.
  • During this period the finisher will not be purchasable in the store.
  • It will temporarily be excluded from the Mega Bundle, and the price will be slightly lower to reflect this adjustment.
  • Once the bug has been fixed, it will become available for purchase again and will automatically appear in the account of anybody who already owns the finisher. Twitch Drops Check out the 2XKO category on Twitch this week to get the brand new Abandoned Armory stage for free. Also, don’t forget to check out the Sajam Slam, which kicks off June 9!
